Since I occasionally produce concepts for other locales, here’s a spot we can drop and discuss concepts and ideas for the visuals of Narsis District.

Othreleth Woods
Thirr Valley

Geranium Trees

Hmm, with Aanthirin too getting the orange treatmeant (when I get to it), I’m starting to get a bit worried: are we making too mhany red-orange-yellow regions? We gotta be careful here not to make them too similar.

I think the leaves could be a little bit sharper at the ends instead of round it out. Also I think we should toy with the idea of having the shipal shin be a little more ashy colored, kind of dusty.  I would imagine it would look kind of like Sedona Arizona. Only have a little bit more of a deep red ashy kind of look to it.

Hmm… well, I think we need a few more atmospheric concepts before we make decisions— just so that we can have “this is aanthirrin” “this is Thirr valley” “this is othreleth woods” “This is shipal-shin”.

I’m plenty happy to modify the colors on that sketch, as it wouldn’t be too hard to do. We’re still sorta vague on what these places even look like, so it’s still up in the air.

Does: concepts, textures, youtube vids, admin stuff e.g. PR, handbook, assets, small website things. Activity level: wildly unpredictable. Still active. Find me on Discord.

Added the river mangrove concept in to the top. My comments on it are that I think we need a few more plants, possibly some hanging plants, and we need some more concepts for what the area that's not river looks like. Also, maybe some more aquatic plants. I suggest looking at a few of the "squash" plants I proposed for the Sundered Scar region or some of the hanging monkeyflowers:

There should be an npc nicknamed the Narsis Narcissist.

Shipal-shin should certainly be red. In general, the 'reddish' areas are concerntrated along the Thirr, from the reddest region Shipal-shin downriver to the dappled green/orange Aanthirin. To the east you get the pale yellow Deshaan, the more-or-less turquois lush Alt Orethan and the pumice Sundered Scar region, whereas to the north you get the dark grey Armun Ashlands, the yellow Roth-roryn and finally the green Ascadian Bluffs.
The Redoran Clambering Moor region is another question, but I could see it being more brown than reddish.

I think a warm look, quite distinct from the other areas of Morrowind which will generally be greener, yellower, browner or greyer, works quite well for the Hlaalu Heartland; an apparant sanctuary of warmth and comfort within the harsh province.
