Since these forums are new software, if you have feedback about technical issues or see something you like or don't like, or want to have, please let us know here.

I'd like to see something like latest posts. Preferably with more than 10 entries.

While currently rather rudimentary, you can do that in your Dashboard (at http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/?q=dashboard).

It's basically a personisable collection of content blocks, and both latest comments and latest content are in there already. Just adding it to the bottom of the forum - I dunno.

I was asked to make a post on the D7 forums by the administrator, our beloved Anonytroll.

I am going to use this post to call out the great injustice that has befallen me. Our cruel tyrant administrator Anonytroll has seen fit to unilaterally revoke my freely chosen name, and assign me this relic of my willfully forgotten past. I am broken.

And it was rather helpful in finding out how to get the brownish highlight of newly posted-in forums working. Thanks!

Great. The customisable dashboard looks promising.

Another feature I would like implemented is some kind of navigation at the bottom of each page with links such as Back to Top, Bookmarks, Dashboard, Forums and possibly others.

My previous post was a quote reply to post #3, but next to the date stamp of the post it says (Reply to #5) which links to reply #3. Obviously not a major issue, but I noticed it so I thought I'd mention.

Atm, the forum is not very mobile friendly. The posts' layout makes them hard to read. This is what I'm seeing.

I'd like "Recent Comments" in the dashboard to show thread titles raher than the first few words of the actual comment. And if possible the author as well.

Would like to see the ability to have an "administration" forum and/or sections of the website with limited viewing access.

Also, when I post a picture that is too wide for the styling, it shrinks it (which is fine) but A: there's no option to see the bigger version and B: it only shrinks it horizontally instead of vertically in proportion, so the picture ends up squished.

Also, if we could be able to upload .blend files for modeling that would be great.

Does: concepts, textures, youtube vids, admin stuff e.g. PR, handbook, assets, small website things. Activity level: wildly unpredictable. Still active. Find me on Discord.

Most of those things will need to be changed, yes - I was thinking of putting in a footer of some kind eventually and the forum needs to be restyled within the templates and all (it's still using tables), but that will take a bit.

That reply number looks broken. I'll look at it.

The admin forum eventually, not sure about the pictures.

Recent Comments - no, it will stay as it is, as it's not only forum comments, but comments to all nodes. Another block perhaps.

Can I change the way dates are displayed? The current MM/DD/YYY is quite confusing for a European like myself. I'd like to be able to change it to DD/MM/YYYY. No priority here though.

Would it be possible to have active topics as a block on the dashboard?

All threads show to have 0 views.

It would be great to have the possibility to, when viewing the forums, go to the last post of a thread. Or better yet the first unread post.

I'm testing some early mockups of a more mobile-friendly version of our site, as well as tweaks for our desktop site.

I'm suggesting we have some targeted adaptive CSS that changes the forum post layout so that user details (a condensed simple version) go at the top in a single line. This will allow the actual post content to take the whole width. A smaller font-face for the post body will also allow more content to be displayed without crazy wrapping. I'm not sure how easily hackable this is.

On a more long-term timeline, I would also like us to condense our user bar and menu bars to use more space efficiently.

Images below.

Also would be nice to hook more than a single attachement to a post!

Is there or can we get a "mark all topics as read" button?

I'd prefer slightly larger avatar dimension limits.

This is Yeti, by the way. Decided to use my real first name on the new forum, and ditch the high school nickname. If it confuses people though, I'll change back.

For now it's at the bottom, in the "Forum Tools" dropdown.

Insert Picture tool is broken for me. When I insert a picture, it shows up in my comment box during editing, but then the picture never shows up in the final published comment.

Twilight dwells on the winter coast
the time of the eldest fades
deep in the forest the Dreamer lies
lost to mind and space.

Should work now (there's a slight synchronisation discrepancy between the wysiwig editor and the text format).

Woops, guess I should post this here.

The line spacing in the (FIltered HTML) editor and the actual post text doesn't match up. Single-spaced shows up as double-spaced in the editor, and double-spaced shows up as quadruple spaced. Is there a way to change this?

Also echoing attaching multiple attachments. A "times downloaded" counter would be nice, too.

Double-post! <offers brick>

Copy-pasting also does funny things with the text editor not matching the post text. I was copy-pasting my literature from the old forums. While the text editor showed the title headings as bolded, the bolded wasn't in the actual post text, and wasn't in the text editor either when I went back in to edit it.

Also, copy-pasted text will show in the editor as being double-spaced, but it stays double-spaced once posted, too. Editing it, however, will create the same spacing problems as before. Confusing.

Aaaaand trying to apply bolded or italics to copy-pasted text breaks, only enacting the change on one paragraph at a time as far as I can tell, despite looking normal in the editor window.

This is really driving me nuts. frown I don't think I like this forum software.

Are we going to have global announcements? It'd be nice to have a "Where to start" etc. on top of the main forum page.

We really do need a 'Newest Posts' tab at the bottom of the forums like the old ones, because not everyone viewing the site will be a registered member so it makes it easier for guests to see what's been going on, and therefore more likely to register. I also don't think the rich text editor has a built in spell checker.

Also, the save button REALLLLLY needs to be changed to say 'Post' instead.

Non-registered viewers can also click "Active topics" at the top of the forum index. I think, but am not sure, that a footer with some such buttons will also be available soon.

Oh, also, when the save button gets changed to a 'Post' button, I think the post and preview buttons should be right up beneath the text editor box. As of now I have to scroll down to get to them, while it' underneath the text format options and attachment options. The order should go:

Post and Preview

Attachments

Text Format

I'm not going to change the "save" button into a "post" button, since this affects more than just forum topics and the problem seems to be internet OCD instead of a genuine problem.

Can someone change the link coloring to be more obvious, so it's easy to tell when something is a link or not? For instance this link is not really visible.

EDIT: I would also like to see an option in the Wysiwyg editor for "remove formatting".
