Hello. I am now playing TR_Mainland version 18.07. It was a nasty surprise for me when I saw no silt strider in Bal Oyra and no destination to Tel Ouada, Llothanis etc. from Firewatch. I saw an explanation on the forum that Telvanni keep no connection with Imperial towns, but haven't you tried too hard? Telanni towns are just unavailable by any meaning but running or swimming. It's ridiculous. A whole region cannot be isolated, they just must get supplies somehow. I've taken a quest in Firewatch Fighter guild with a stalker whom I need to bring to Llothannis and I just have to run with him through a wild area, fighting animals and healing the stalker. I don't even know if it's possible - maybe there's no road. There must be at least one connection with Telvanni region, let it be expensive, make me pay tolls etc., but there must be some kind of transport! The players have to run there and back on every quest connected to Telvanni, it's just a torture.

I know that there's a TR_Travels.esm file, but whot does it do? It's not the main release so I didn't touch it. Will it solve the problem? What does it change in the game, exactly? I'm sure there's a description somewhere, can I have a link there?

I think there are (or used to be) connections from Bal Oyra to Tel Ouda and from Necrom to Alt Bosara, both by ship, but Telvanni lands do seem to be more disconnected; presumably the Telvanni Wizards all teleport when they want to travel!

There is the river striders that connect to majority of the towns/towers. Also some forts are located near towers that divine intervention would take you to. Maybe check where the mages guild takes you to as well through their teleporting routes. Silt striders are usually found at velothi towns and imperials towns in MAP 1.

You won't win
With your standards so high
And your spirits so low

There was a Silt Strider in Bal Orya, but it was removed to make the Telvanni and Imperial travel networks separate.

There was a Silt Strider in Bal Orya, but it was removed to make the Telvanni and Imperial travel networks separate.

But it sucks! In Morrowind there was never a single town excluded from common access. It must be possible to get into any town with fast travel, not by foot. At least one, if long, way! To be unconnected to the world may be excused only for small, seldom visited dwellings like Tel Uvirith or Ashamul. Even into Solstheim there's a transport, though it is even more isolated than Telvanni islands. You invented something strange and unhealthy. It shouldn't be so. I ask to rethink about it in future releases.

If you are not using TR_Travels, you can't go to the mainland other by swimming or Almsivi intervention anyway, so you should be used to being isolated from the main travel network.

There still are connections to the eastern lands, you just need to go through Helnim and then catch a Silt Strider north. If you were using TR_Travels, you could also have used the Mages Guild Guide network to go to Bosmora and then north, but since you are not, that option is not open for you anyway.

Specifically in the case of Coladia Nelus' Stalker, it had the issue in at least 17.09 that the dialogue still encouraged you to take a boat to Tel Ouada and then a river strider to Llothanis, bringing an NPC with you, but with or without TR_Travels that route is cut and you need to take a rather more circuitous path (or have it be a full escort mission) for that quest option.

I use Almsivi Intervention for gettiing to mainland and Recall for returning. Yes, I would prefer there was a transport, but, since I haven't to escort anyone, this satisfies me. But in Telvanni towns case, I can't even use such an option.

It brings me to Bal Oyra only, not to Telvanni towns.

I'm sorry for having been on emotions and rude yesterday, I had to travel with that bedamned stalker on foot from Firewatch to Llothannis. I wish to stay in good relationships with you developers, since I am thankful for your hard  work and I know I will need your help again, so you have my apology. But I hope you understand me and will think of some solution. I wonder how other players deal with that stalker - just kill him outside of town?

What circuitous path? I tried all kinds of transport, there's no way to Llothanis. Or am I wrong?

I think I got it. Ship from Firewatch to Helnim, then silt strider to Ranyon-Ruhn and Tel Ouada, then river strider. So there does be one way to Telvanni Isles. Thank Akatosh.

I apologize again. Apparently I didn't try all available routes.

Honestly, I don't recall, it was about a year since I did that quest. I was mostly just burning money by taking travel options that didn't take me too far south until I finally somehow managed to get into the Telvanni network and on to Llothanis. That was with 17.09 and TR_Travels, though. There definitely wasn't a two-step path like the quest assumes.
