Description

This is the claim used to make edits and fixes to TR_Mainland. Do not make changes arbitarily.
TR_Mainland should not break compatibility unless it is structurally necessary. This means do not change the IDs of anything that was released in a TR_Mainland.esm unless strictly necessary.

Workflow

TR_Mainland is the esm which contains the “finished” parts of Tamriel Rebuilt. Save major restructuring, the landmass contained within is supposed to be fully interiorised, npced, quested, and cleaned.
(see editing guidelines)

Uploaded here is only the esp. Make sure to redate the .esp to 01/01/2012 18:00:00 with WryeMash so that it loads before other plugins that rely on it. Remember to load this when doing edits to the section files.

Development Plan

Quests and dialogue refinement. Veloth's Path could be widened if desired, and its texture changed to the one used west of Alt Orethan.
Gnomey can be asked for details, if an implementation is desired and looking at those areas don't make clear what is required.

Various works of touching up existing content, such as reworking that AI island in Boethiah's Spine, giving the IAS members their faction assignment, and the like, should be kept an eye on.

Additionally, medium-term, the cliffs should be replaced with our newer meshes.

Done everything except for the bank topics. There is also currently no Ruinous Keep interior which auto-relocates players to the Wavebreaker interiors.

Note: this includes a Tamriel_Data.esm. This is the current version 6.1 merged with the current (2018-11-12) up-to-date data addon, for merging additional esps into TR_Mainland.

Done some trivial cleaning-up. Precise changelog:

- Fixed a couple floaters north of Firewatch left behind by Atra's remodeling of the region.

- Merged https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/asset/floating-tree-fix and deleted the original.

- Removed book TR_m3_q_FathisNote2 (unused and useless, from https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/claims/voice-calm-me-down ).

- Vhul, Vanis Nithris's House now has 2 beds instead of 1. This matters for the "Hetman, Hlaalu and Scrib Pie" quest. Also, the house no longer has ornada and molecrab eggs.

- NPC "TR_m3_Fedura Ovav" no longer has a whitespace in her name.

- The blocked doors in the Wavebreaker Keep no longer say "This door is blocked for your safety" (I find this paternalism inappropriate in that forsaken place) -- I've replaced their script by TR_m3_i589_BlockedDoor_Script.

  • fixed the script TR_m3_OE_TG_AntioKilled, which used to spawn an extra corpse of Antio Florane if the player had killed Antio earlier
  • added a hidden rising force potion in "Raathim Ancestral Tomb, Lichgate", so that the player doesn't get trapped in a pit. The use of teleportation magic is restricted in the cell so that felt only fair.

Dropping. Added ShowMap to a whole bunch of town name topics, but I feel that this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to missing navigational topics. I also noted that the following town name topics lack entries for Scouts and/or Savants (though admittedly some are rather small and might not need them), and many could probably also use dialogue entries for nearby other locations and travel service providers:

Note: the zip file I uploaded still contains a Tamriel_Data.esm (I think it's the one Atra mentioned) and a TR_Factions.esp, both of which I did not touch. I redated TR_Mainland.esp to 2018-08-02 for load order reasons.

Dropping. I also fixed some undersea landscaping south of Gorne, objects were floating so I raised the land back up to them, set illegal to sleep here on an Almas Thirr cell, and changed the region to Aanthirin Region when it was Armun Ashlands Region in 0,-25.

- Corrected a dozen bugs from my betacomments.

- Merged in Cutthroat Bureaucracy fixes from Dillon, improving on one of them (the push-off-bridge condition is now a getpos).

- The adamantium war axe stuck in the tree in cell (5, -31) is now actually visible ingame. Perhaps it's a bit on the too-good-loot side; consider hiding it better or cursing it?

- Windbreaker Keep int cells renamed.

- Ext cell (40, -18) re-regioned from Padomaic Ocean to Sacred Lands.

- Various doors in Ald Volos locked, and some references removed in anticipation of The Rift.

- Immetarca's boots nerfed. Now they just give 3 seconds of levitation on use (and can only be used once before having to recharge). Also, they are only worth 150 gold now.

- Merged in The Rift. Great job, randonaut and Dillon! I have done some minor script optimizations but in general the quest seems in a great state already. I replaced the (un-pickable) scrolls in the Rift room by blank scrolls, since it made the most sense to me that Ralam meant to write down what he saw in his experiment. Caveat: I don't quite understand how walkHour works, and in my savegame Ralam doesn't make it to the dome when he first enters Ald Volos. Maybe these things have to do with each other. Either way, the quest works.

- Fixed a few caspering poop rocks (again...).

I remember. It was just bothering me as it was a mistake when I made the cave. This change was more of a thing to silence my conscience; it was a poor choice of flora that I regretted doing ever since the review of the int.
