Here's my mod, the Quest for Lute. Just go to the Eight Plates in Balmora and speak with an Argonian named... well, would you look at that? His name's Meej-Dar! What a coincidence! Anyway, just go talk to him to start the quest.

EDIT: Apparently, I put the wrong file here. I meant to put the clean one. I'm still getting used to TESAME.

Just tested: works, dialogue is good, etc, the file just needs cleaning (I see you've just uploaded one titled "Clean" but it's identical to the old file) -- see tutorial,
Besides the GMSTs, in your case you will need to clean the original dialogue lines that got "modified" when you inserted yours (it's just some data you can't see in the CS that got changed to indicate that your entries come before/after them, but that's enough to mark the whole dialogue entry as modified and make it potentially overwrite any mods that edit it on purpose). For future reference, it's better to insert dialogue not at the top but between existing entries (somewhere it makes sense, like between two series of dialogue for unrelated things).
As an aside, you use Greeting 9 here which isn't an issue, but in the future if you want to make sure your topic gets introduced and not overwritten by a variety of things you may want to use Greeting 5 or 1 instead:

I'm going to be honest with you... I have no idea what I'm doing with TESAME. I've read the tutorial top to bottom, but I still have no idea what I'm doing. I don't know what GMST means, and I was afraid that the T mean texture and I didn't want to delete it. And then there are things that are highlighted, but I don't know what that means, either.

EDIT: Updated the download with one that I hope is clean. I got rid of the GMST things and the one dialogue entry I didn't alter. I just deleted anything that I didn't change. Which... is what I was supposed to do in the first place, isn't it? Well...

GMST as they're displayed in TESAME are GaMeSeTtings which can get automatically modified by the CS when you save,

Yes, that's pretty much it, (the exception of land textures is something you only concern yourself with if you modify exterior landscape),
You could've probably used the regular glass boots but as that's an object you added yourself it gets a pass,
The file is now clean with the exception of one line (Greeting 9 "It is truly a pleasure to see you"),
You've shown that you can write dialogue and know the necessary scripting so you have this recommendation for quest developer!

Okay, apologize for not getting back to this. I had noticed the GMSTs in your earlier version, but you seem to have fixed that.

As Rot said, I would use Greetings 1 and 5 instead of Greetings 0 and 9. 5 is where we put most quest-related greetings, as further down it will get overwritten by Greetings specific to the speaker's class, race, faction, location, etc, so you might end up missing important quest text. Greeting 1 is tailored for Force Greets like the one in this quest (I'm assuming the player's mirror doesn't care if they're a vampire or naked, but then again...)

Dialogue is working properly--I especially like how you added dialogue that covers the player talking to the Argonian during and after they accepted the quest.

So, overall good job, and here's your promotion!

I've been promoted! Maybe now House Hlaalu will recognize the sacrifices I've made [withholds laughter] and lets me purchase a diamond mine. I... don't know what that was about.

And as for the dialogue, I will use Greetings 1 and 5 from now on. I had no idea which one I should use, and now I do.

And now that I am a quest developer... what do I do?

I recall you asked about Hlaalu plans but I dont know anythign about that, in the meantime to get you started I can link you the claims browser and asset browsers for quest claims (which you can now claim as a quest developer) and quest designs

Sure you can claim any in "Unclaimed" stage, just check the comments to make sure somebody didn't say they were writing for it already without actually claiming it (if writing was already posted you can use it).

Also, I'm not just interested in House Hlaalu. I'm interested in all the Great Houses. They were my favorite part of Morrowind, and the idea of each Great House having a Main Quest style storyline is intriguing and exciting.

A good first start for the Houses is to read up on their planning documents in our handbook: http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/planning-documents

After reading that, which House are you most interested in working on? (Keep in mind Telvanni and Dres are not in states to be implemented/updated any time soon.) You can also troll around in the Conceptualization and Implementation sub-forums here, or dig into the old forum archives, but you're on your own there... It's a jungle of information.

Well, House Hlaalu's secret conspiracy really intrigues me, so that's at the top of the list. House Dres follows closely behind (although not ready to be implemented). Then Indoril, because it's new like Dres. Telvanni comes after because their land has already been made. And Redoran would probably be at the bottom of the list, because I played Redoran too much. Kinda got tired of them.

But as you can see with Hlaalu and Dres being my two favorites, I'm into the whole making money thing.
