Okay, TR Travels for the 1603 release is under way.

Currently, I have fixed some dialogue bugs and added divine/almsivi markers for better teleportation.

What’s on the agenda is updating the map (it needs work with the new landscape shape) and include some of abot’s lines in the design.

What kind of software/work process do you use to make this map? I’ve been trying to get the map of P:C up to speed, but it takes a lot of doing. I was wondering if you could share the grid map or some other resources?

GIMP, I just trace a creatmaps export (reduced to 40x40 cells from 256x256), then fill in the landmass and apply drop shadows.

I can upload the full XCF, if you only are looking for the trace lines I exported a png for Gnomey here.

Actually, I’m most interested in the grid map: it’s much cleaner and more legible than the one I’m using. The drop shadows are also a very good idea, for legibility. If you could share the .XCF, I’d love to pick it apart.

The map legend has the triangle for the Nine Divines and the red diamond for Almsivi. Shouldn’t it be the opposite?

Wow, embarassing with the map legend.

It’s fixed and I will upload a 75% size map (as last time around) later on.

The Gridmap is here, all 121MB of it: Includes source maps, no dropshadow.

The size is a bit bigger, since it now includes Roscrea:

Silly question, but what about this?

Thanks, this looks excellent.

@Biboran: there’s a slight gap between the landspaces of the different province mods. It will likely be filled up with mountains and such, perhaps by a third-party mod.

It’s room to play with. If we don’t end up using it, the other projects will no doubt find a use for it. It’s good to have a lot of extra space to work with on the border, especially for mountainous borders, as proper mountain ranges take up a lot of room.

Biboran

Silly question, but what about this?

Elaborating on the replies, the landmasses don’t quite mesh up. I took the province borders from the Province Tamriel concept maps, since they are both consistent with each other and the original Tamriel map everything is based on.

Tamriel Rebuilt is doing weird things to the overall Tamriel landscape, and the Velothi mountaintop is a gap in where the province mods just don’t meet up properly. It doesn’t matter right now, because either we will add something there when the P:T mods eventually work themselves up to their eastern borders, or they will, or someone else will.

But you’re right to ask about it, because it’s one of those things which can easily fall into “someone else’s problem” territory if not kept in mind.
