Well, the condition of our forum nowadays is a direct result of the enormous influx of new members we have been having lately. Whenever we get a new member surge, 2 things happen: 1) We get a lot of spammers and trolls that pour in from the mainstream videogame audience along with the constructive n...

Yeah, new membership is higher now than it has ever been in the nearly 2 years I've been here. It is pretty exciting, really. I'd say that an average of about 50% of new members actually decide to post to introduce themselves (rather than just getting the downloads), and of those only about 10% actu...

I have some proposed modifications to that, mishka. -Instead of the complex system of changing forms, you are simply persecuted as a monster, as if you were in perpetual werewolf form. This is a good strong disadvantage as well as more lore-abiding, since we have not a single reference of liches wit...

Looking at those stats, I would still really want to be a lich no matter what character class I was (unless I was almost pure warrior) The benefits just greatly outweigh the disadvantages, I think it should be the other way around. Some other strong disadvantage that has something other to do than s...

You would need to be an expert to do this. I am not saying that it is merely a lot of work, but that it is also very complicated. To the best of my knowledge, you cannot call or set weapon speeds in the script (one of the many limitations of the TESCS), and so therefore you could not say If GetPCStr...

I cannot think of any easy way to script that. Not saying it is impossible (never saying that again given all of the script-intensive mods I have seen), but I am saying that it would be impractical. However, the game does already have a mechanism that decreases your fatigue faster the heavier the ob...

I believe so, yes. None of the Daedra Princes carry a scythe in any of the depictions of them that I have seen, but if a daedra count did, then his minions might have a reason to carry scythes as well to identify themselves as his. Also, some of the daedric princes, like Nocturnal and Vaernima, seem...

My former post may have come off as harsh and I apologize. I was not directing that statement specifically towards you, Dagoth_Mishka, but at whoever is going to post on ES for lich lore. Well, the @mishka comment was, but not the sentence or two below it that was separated by a space and...oh, hell...

The later spider daedra there looks like it would be a great depiction of Mephala herself. And while the sload is quite different from the ingame sload, the drawing is still very good and could perhaps be used for a different new creature. These are very good quality color sketches ck_1979, we are s...

@Urdar- That aura of fear may well not be present in TES liches. @Dagoth_mishka- You shouldn't have wasted your time searching, I have already emphasized (and Uldar) that there is no lore on lich transformations. That is why we need to ask a dev for the information to get any kind of conclusion Also...

Absolutely NO NPC-based monsters!!! Sorry to jump on that but it is one of the things that annoyed me the most about the Giants mod. NPC-based monsters cannot be soultrapped and are therefore not acceptable. Also, a giant nord isn't going to move realistically for something of its size. You would ha...

Alright here is the esp with the stats for these weapons. However, I seriously think that a new version will need to be made with the weapon ideas presented here, especially replacing the swords with cleavers. Then I can update the stats to reflect the changes. If I get a chance, I'll post the stats...

I think the only thing oriental-looking about orc gear are the helmets. Plus, the design was inspired by Altmer designs, not Akaviri designs, so dai-katanas, katanas, wakizashis, and tantos are out. Since no one else is, I will try to put together some stats for these bad boys if I get the chance. I...

No no, the polygon face count on the models used in all the statues, new buildings, etc. There are just too many, and it helps kill your framerate. Morden is right though, the NPC's and the interior entrances will only worsen this situation. Prom already added the guards to the city, but there are n...

Most of the guilds are being dealt with as having several chapters per province, so that if you were Archmage in the original game, then you will only be Archmage of Vvardenfell Mage's Guild in TR. Also, the capitals of House Telvanni and House Hlaalu will be moved to Port Telvannis and Narsis respe...

Narsis is a part of my experience here that I would just like to blot out of my memory, since it is too painful. The city is beautiful, but far too slow compared to the rest of the game. My computer is no powerhouse, but I didn't think it was going to be so bad when I volunteered to take on Narsis f...

With the review board, that will never be necessary. A claim is either good, or it doesn't make it into TR. So you don't have to bother filtering out membership, since the filtering is done with each submission. Also note that just because someone names a member as exemplary, does not mean the rest ...

SlugZ, I have always believed that if you shoot for the stars, you'll at least reach the moon. The goal of the project is all of Tamriel. If we don't make it that far (and we probably won't), then at the very least we have, in our struggle to succeed, accomplished at least one province. While I, per...

I see the fact that they are hunters as rationale for them having hides for armor, not rationale for them not having bamboo. Besides, who else would use it? Calm down hermit, no one asked for politics in this thread. I've always felt that chitin armor should have been better in Morrowind. It is supposedly very strong, but furs and hides seemed to provide the same protection! As for Bamboo Armor, I think that if this is done that it should not be called ...

The weapons that irk me the most are the swords there, which look way too much like glass weapon retextures. The 1 h axe I could almost ignore it looking dwemer (except that the design was so memorable), but something must be done about those swords. Perhaps add more spines to the portion between th...
I didn't see any insults in Rian's post, haplo. If you were joking it was not obvious. Play nice. He is new to the project and no one ever reads the FAQ before posting, so get used to it.
