I am beginning to feel like i worked for nothing on this map , becouse many think we will never reach this region or even start modding it , and eventually use it , but not for sure.....

There is a city called Windhelm in Skyrim. Not sure of its location though.

Prom, there is a place called Cascabel Hall, a castle that should currently be inhabited by a Bosmer known as the Count of Cascabel, it is mentioned in the book "The Rear Guard".

I cannot be sure on it's exact location. The castle was being left behind as the King of Solitude made his retreat with his ally the Count of Cascabel(then a Non-Bosmer) in a war with the King of Farrun. His armies had raided into Morrowind as they had some wagons of Netch Leather.

If I had to guess I would place it, I would put it somewhere between the Solitude and Farrun(High Rock), considering they were retreating from Farrun's advancing armies. However, it would of had to be in a temperate enough location for apples to grow, so perhaps more towards the south or very close to High Rocks border.

Cascabel Hall

Darkmoor
Small, centrally located, has a Count (Biography of Barenziah v I)

Falconstar
Site of an early Third Era battle (The Wolf Queen, Book VII)

Across a bay from Nerone (Ice and Chiton)

Nerone
An isthmus, possibly what Solitude sits on, has a ruined keep across from Gorvigh Ridge (Ice and Chiton)

Old Fort
A royal bastion constructed by the First Empire of the Nords to guard its southern frontier, said to be a fine example of Nordic military engineering, with 'Towering walls of huge, irregular porphyry blocks fit together without seam or mortar, as if constructed by mythical Elhnofey rather than men' (Pocket Guide).

Porhnak
Had soldiers stationed there (Ice and Chiton)

The map is more than 2/3s of the way done, I'd say, and he hasn't left us, he just left the core. He checks back more and more frequently now.

Why is the map needed?
For example I wrote a book situated in Skyrim and could not be sure whether the places I described there will be really made ingame.
The map is not needed just as a guide for exterior modding, but also as a source of lore.
I do not know whether TR is ready to start modding Skyrim, for there is probably not enough models for it yet and to make models, one must first make some discussions of lore.
So this is why this map is so important IMHO, without it finished TR members can not even prepare to start modding Skyrim.

Not to mention that, but it's also one heck of a map, and really cool. I have the Skyrim portion of it set as my background every 3 or 4 days. It's A-W-E-S-O-M-E. Please finish it Prometheus!

Perhaps this is not the place to discuss this, and perhaps it has already been discussed. But, is there a gradual trasition from the environs of morrowind to skyrim? or is it just gnarled olive trees and humid swams on one side- pine forests and snow on the other side?

BTW, awesome map! It really does look pro.

The Velothi mountains serve as separation between the two provinces.

Prometheus is a lurker now... he's apparently still watching us, but he doesn't stop by or post often. I doubt that he's still working on the maps - in fact, I started working on the Black Marsh map when he left.

I'm nowhere near as talented as he is, though. It makes me wonder just how much time he put into these maps.

What happened to the map? Last time I visited this thread it was 2/3 complete and now there seems to be quite old version.
Is it because of the crash?

Good luck Lady N then. I already played around with the map on my own extracting icons Prom used to assemble the map from the picture and then pining them back again.
I must say I managed to keep nice Prom's look to it, but it took me f***ing damn 8 hours to make a piece of 2x2 cms and I was not able to draw new Icons so I forgot about that quickly.
Maybe if you could persuade Prom to send you the icons he used (hope he still has them) 75% of your work would be saved.
