I like those trees, I guess ...

They are from the Kalendaar Project, one of the biggest French Mod. The Isle of Kalendaar is said to be half the size of Vvardenfell ...

In another province - worth having for the next one - you never know what will come up.

They are very nice, but the texture needs to darken near the base of the tree, otherwise they will always stand out rather badly against the terrain with that very light bark.

If we use those I want to put one at a slant low enough for the player to walk on it, just so that I can do it. There was one that grew at such a slant at my elementary school, so it's just nostalgia.

And they're beautiful.

What exactly are you saying about the great Australian gum tree and its surrounding terrain? :x

The models and leaf textures are great but the trunk texture looks a bit too repetetive.

Where to use them is a good question. Probably Cyrodil and perhaps southern Skyrim would be the first parts where these can be used. In Morrowind, I don't see these fitting in anywhere.

ok, my l key is broken - and if you wish to discuss my broken l key then i suggest you pm me rather than pointing it out in this thread

I agree with Vernon we should use these trees in another province(cyrodiil or hammerfell)

Luv'em. We need them. Liliath, can you ask the makers of that project for permission for us to use them?

Can they be improved at all? look at the bottom of the tree... really plain towards the trunk...

Agreed. They have no expanding base for support, and no visible root system. Trees generally geta bit wider towards the bottom, but these ones are roughly the same diameter all the way down.

Stumpy, I personally would say gum trees are an exception, though I do agree that the texture needs a little fixing.

I love the leaves. But the trunk is simply too bright. Perhaps it could be darkened up a little for Morrowind, but I can easily see the brighter colours in the East a little more.

The mod is available here, it's all in French though ... So shall I ask for permission of use ? I'm not sure about the answer though ...

Well... I like the tree itself, but isn't the bark too bright? I mean, the contrast isn't good, in the background of the picture of the french mod, that's a tree i like to put on TR.

Well, no guarantee we will use it, but ask anyway. Having an option more on models is much better than having less options, even if we don't take all models in the end.

If we are allowed top use them, we can then review them.

Please, ask them. they seem to have quite a talented modeler.

Do they have other models as well?

We might also be able to obtain many interesting meshes and textres from them.....and mabye we could use some of their modders if possible.
Just an idea.
