But I do love lord of the rings, we had an all day marathon once at my house on the home cinema. 9 hours of lord of the rings, complete with free popcorn and toilet breaks! hee hee
I agree that some of the other LOTR games where mediocre. But, this game is stunning, it looks like it's straight off of massive. (that's the engine they used for combat AI in LOTR, for those of you who arent Tolkien (spelling corrected) Uber-geeks such as myself!) I loved the way they dealt with cavalry too, first game to ever get it right. :D

My favourites

Post by nietzsche »

Here are my favourites. They are not in any order, coz I think they're all good games in their own way and thus not comparable:

Fallout series
Neverwinter nights series
Baldurs gate series
TES series (actually I've played only TES III)
W40K: Dawn of War. Good game, but could use more races
HOMM series
Star Wars (especially KOTOR)
final fantasy series
probably the sims(haven't played it though)

here is probably just the tip of the iceberg, though. I may come up with more in the future

Well the Final Fantasy Series is the best and morrowind is a close second. metal gear solid series, vagrant story, devil may cry 2,brothers in arms,hl2,moo2,summoner 1 & 2,wwe smackdown series and driver 3 and a bunch of other games also rule. and of course arcanum
The lord of flies "Baalzebub" will come to earth and kill all living things, none will survive....exept for the flies naturally.

Right now, it's all EVE: Second Genesis (PC MMORPG) and Star Ocean 3 (PS2 RPG). I've posted a "best games" list in these forums too many times to bother with one more.

Halo's all about the multiplayer. You got LIVE? If you did, you could play with me and Wooty (although when you play with Wooty, replace 'play' with 'massacre').

1: Planescape: Torment and Arcanum
2: Thief - Series
3: Baldur's Gate - Series
4: Morrowind
5: Gothic - Series
6: MageWorld and Lands of Hyperborea (absolutely genious Total Conversions of Dungeon Siege which acctually make this crappy game worth playing)
7: Battlezone
8: Half Life and Addons
9: Myst - Series

Too bad that there is no good game of Tolkien's Works. And don't come with those crappy LotR-Game, who shall be cast into the Outer Nothingness where Melkor, the Dark Lord, resides until the Dagor Dagorlad, the Last Battle, takes place in the realms of Arda and all things shall come to their end. May the winds o Manwe blow their remains away and the floods of Ulmo wash out what has been left of them.

And that is all I have got to say about those games.

I like first person shooters that aren't your typical... er... um.... Shooters!

Some of my favourites, in no particular order.

Deus EX (Original only!)
System Shock 2
Elder Scroll Series
Operation Flashpoint
Thief Series
Giants: Citizen Kabuto

There are probably more, but I can't remember them right now.

I also like all the classic console & arcade games like eg Wonderboy, Ghouls And Ghosts, Elavator, Goldeneye & heaps more.... Geez my memory is really going.

I've had CoD & the expansion for a couple of months now, I still haven't installed them yet. Are they any good?

Castlevania series (Specially Symphony of the Night)

Final Fantasy before FFX (Man talk about bad art direction. Characters look like rejects from a Calvin Klein commercial)

Suikoden 1,2,3

Splinter Cell series

Metal Gear series

Starcraft (I'm korean, that means I pwn in Starcraft)

Morrowind

Gran Turismo series (the ONLY racing game I like)

Soul Calibur series (Including Soul Blade and Soul Edge)

Counter Strike 1.5 (Steam sucks)

Some more...

That's because FFX came for the PS2 thus held much more details then the earlier FF games :P

Nah, I don't have live, but i could maybe set it up, though i dunno how, also, grenade launchers always get me, when my brother uses them, in the multiplayer combat against me i always lose.... grrrr.... its just cos he cant aim with a proper weapon
