No. Don't do that. I have a better idea. Retexture all Hlaalu buildings to Imperial textures and than put it into the city. That way you will show Imperial influence on Hlaalu. Also I think it'll be a good idea to add something interesting to the city - like Sixth House base beneath it, in sewers. I think that would add an interesting twist to overall boring Hlaalu life.

yeah, good point, but to stir it up a bit more, i'll also add few telvani stuff and, of course, a huge and really cool castle filled with uber weaps&armour. what do you think, what's a better weapon for head of hlaalu, m16 or ak47?

anyway, don't flood this thread too much, see you all in 2 days...

Can you add a war between the Falmer and the Dwemer, started by a resurected Sortha Sil show can lead the sixth house to victory? Oh, and the laeder of House Hlaalu needs to dual wield an AK-47 and an M16.

PS: I looked at the WIP and really liek what you've doen so far to improve the framerate. Keep up the good work and hopefully Morden's polycount reduction on the meshes will help you a lot.

Kingfish, I have a recommendation on narsis.

For the arena, prom was intent on keeping it and its meshes enitrely as an exterior. Instead, an interior should be made for it using mournholds interior as an exterior function. That way, we can cut down on the references and faces from the arena. not to mention any battles in the arena would actually have smooth FPS instead of slideshows.

Great point... 8 statues will do, and less clutter to keep fps at an acceptable level.
This is indeed true, from what I've read. But from all the pictures I've seen, the statues excited me the most. Oh well. Anywho, after reading this thread, it is pretty obvious why his name is Prometheous.

On a note, I really think you should keep the statue of the Dunmer with the spear and the shield thats all worship-standing.
Stendarr is the God of Mercy and Justice. Therefore, he must also be the bearer of Duck Tape, for only Mercy and Justice can use Duck Tape for the Good of man.

Kingfish, I hate to burden you with more work, but I have a few personal requests about things to change/remove (the ones that hurt my little heart the most):

1. Please remove the "Narsis green marble" statues. I think you mentioned previously about removing all of prom's statues, but just to be uber sure that you removed the green marble stuff, I just decided to mention this.
2. Please kill the Azura statue if you haven't already (the same one Stalker mentioned above. That thing annoyed me too ;) ).
3. Please check the intown flora for regional accuracy (last time I checked, Prom stuck Ashlands flora in there :( ).

For all I know, you have addressed, the above three issues..... but just to make sure, I posted them. Thanks bunches :D.

stalker & eraser: here is a copy of my PM to morden [few days ago]:
hi
i was thinking about the arena model and imo the best way to do is to cut it into 2 pieces - one for interior and other for exterior. than add a dome [hlaalu wall texture-not transparent] on top of both.

if you have time and are willing to do so, see the attached pic; yellow is where to cut it, while blue is the dome.

thanx
kf

sniper:
1. which ones are green marble? i'm color-blind
2. not sure which one is that, but will check
3. not much flora left and it's to be worked on yet - as well as textures [prom used about 3 or 4 regions...

whole core: please, i need you guys to d/l what i've done so far and decide whether it's worth to keep working on it, or to start from a scratch. i don't want to go on with detailing only to hear in few weeks to waste it and start over.

Azura statue was situated near the entrance to the city. Oh and I think all statues are of green marble.
BTW are you serious about being color-blind ? Than I can't imagine how you're making your awsome stuff...

I have two thoughts on Narsis.

1. You might want to redo it, because I'm sure that it's supposed to be a penninsula, not an island. If you look closely you'll see what I'm talking about, the rivers run next to eachother, just very close. Kind of like Syracuse.

2. What about a small island palace off the end? For the head of House Hlaalu or the Duke of Narsis if he is officialized.

The strange thing being that Prom made both the city and the map.

Maybe he forgot? But I thought it was made by someone named Cleverclothe. I think a penninsula city would look better anyways.

That's iffy when looking at the map. I think a penninsula would be better anyways. The way it is set up looks funny for the river, and there are a couple island-in-river cities anyways. Enough to make it a little unoriginal.

the actual concept behind the "island of narsis" is that the river passed where is now the bridge , then deviated to create a defence around the city , this made of Narsis a defended city , plus favoured water irrigation and gardens and also the city commnications via the all round canalwork .... that is the idea that I used for it.....

So the thinner river is a canal? That's pretty cool. It'd be clearer (and better) if it was made to be a canal with the meshes like Balmora and a wall going around it.

insted of each house having its own outside latern have street lights, like 1 street light for every 2 or 3 houses. this really helps the overall poly count and makes it look nice. I did this to one of my big big cities and it went dow around 5000 poly's.

please? ESPECIALLY with people begging to butcher open Narsis and eat its intestines. I'd like to see you return, prom. you're one of the best modders our project has seen, if not the best.
