Splash screens

Post by Stalker »

I've made some splash screens while toying around with Photoshop. I'm thinking of making more but for now here are JPG versions of what i've made so far (I'll upload TGA ones as soon as I'll have the whole pack ready):

Links are fixed now.

the link isn't dead, just ctrl+c & ctrl+v it...

nice, but the figure kind of stands out too much from the background imo

but i had a good fun when the pic was about half way loaded: just cover the lower half of the body - star trek :D

Yeap, I know. I just can't figure out how to make it blend good into the background...

Can you remove the small tan border between the image and the background?

Would you mind if I moved this into the wallpapers thread, it was originally intended to be both wallpapers and splash screens?

Damn. I was opening "47 more years" thread and looked at this one and though you've completly gone mad Eraser :)
And yeap, move it where you see fit. And I'll work on the border. Right now I'm trying to make Mane look good. Can anyone make a coloured version of him ?

For the splashscreens to look really good, you'll need to make them a seemless part of the whole picture, just like the originals. It may be hard, but it will be really nice.

I'll send you my psd source for the logo, so the lettering and design stays consistent with out wallpapers/splash screens like bethesda's.

I don't know how much help this will be, but use the blur tool to blur the very edges of the images to the background, as that tends to make them look more seemlessly part of the pic. You might also need to get rid of the little white outline around the pics before that, though...

very nice, but I agree with the others, more blending is required.
