There are no ninjas in the Greatest Adventure Games Ever. And Bethesda isn't making a "Ninjas of the Caribbean" game...

Both Pirates and Ninjas suck!

Wizards kick both of their asses, at the same time!

Pirates 'cause:

Pirates have buxom whences.
Pirates have eye patches.
Pirates have hooks where their hand was chopped off.
Pirates have wooden legs.
Pirates sing, especially when they're drunk.
Pirates all sleep together, and when they get very drunk they wake up with their pants on their knees.
Pirates invented life-insurance.
Pirates swear all day! Take that, you go-wash-your-mouth-out-with-soap educators! And they have parrots.
Pirates get into pointless barfights.
Pirates are always hung over.
Captain Jordan, from Planet Elder Scrtolls is a pirate!

Ninjas I don't like because ninjas:

Do silly things, with secret passages.
Wear strange shoes with two toes, so they can eat with their feet?
Throw Christmas decorations around.
Have boring outfits.
Are shown in stupid movies.
Are worshipped by dumb-ass (i-a!i-a!) teenagers, who really believe that a man can jump a distance of nine meters.

and with all the ninja grappling equipment and super-poof vanishey techniques they have, it just makes it more memoriable when a small schooner of buccaneers takes down an entire dynasty's worth of tip-toeing assassins, doesn't it?

While I was at the animation college, my class had to do a group project, and we decided to do something about a pirate ship. I won't go in to the details, partially because I can't even remember the whole thing... but I got to come up with the name for it...

The Salty Wench.

Aww yeah.

I don't like to boast (too much), but me and a few friends participate in an annual boat race called the duck run.

I just found out the other day that my girlfriend is pro-ninja! It's truly a Romeo and Juliet style romance.

In favor of promoting peace, I will share 5 things I like about both:

Pirates:
- Get to wear eye-makeup but still get wenches
- Have a great workmans comp plan: (look it up!)
- Get to travel
- Get to sing dirty songs
- Still make the news

Ninjas:
- Coolest gadgets
- Comfortable outfits
- There's no shame in running away
- Can talk out of sych with their mouths.
- Sneaky sneaky!

PS. Morden, since when do ninjas use helecopters :)

Pirates losing to cruise ships? :P
At least two boats closed in on the Seabourn Spirit, firing automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades at the cruise liner.

But crew took evasive action, repelling the attackers without returning fire.

Well, I guess it would just be idiotic to say I'm a pirate.

Note: Pirates are cool to the max. It's just that ninjas are so cool, they're over the max.

If I still have the file, I'll put it up. I know the computer it'd be on, which I won't have access to until sunday or thereabouts. It might help to mention that it was filmed immediately after returning home from my first (and last) big "party". :P

Let's have a competition. Those of us that prefer pirates will dress our girlfriends like that, and the rest will dress theirs as ninjas. Then, we'll compare the average coolness of both teams and decide. Massey and Lady N can dress themselves up since they (at least theorytically) don't have girlfriends.

Pirates have hooked hands and wooden legs because: They have a lack of 'veggies' while at sea and get a horrible desease. The only way to stop the disease is cutting off the limb where it originated in a very painful procedure including a saw. Ouch. Alternativley, they got hit in battle. This also includes eyepatches. Why would a pirate get cut? He'd have to be stabbed, which means he didn't defend himself very well. :P

Pirates were normally poor people who could not afford many of the typical things attributed to them. Those that could were from a government and followed a few rules in connection, not the pirates life viewed by many. Pirates, going a bit farther than random brawls, commited horrible acts of cruelty. Oh, and to the best of my knowledge pirate women were very rare.

Don't know enough about ninjas, rather more mysterious than most murderers...

Anyway, having rained on this parade enough, let the merriment continue! I'm a pirate man myself, but a nicer and healthy pirate. Well limbed.

Getting your eye poked out, even in battle is a rare injury. Most sailors with a eyepatch got that way because they navigated by the sun during the day, and their eyesight deteriorated. They still used blinded eye for navigation as that worked perfectly well. The rest of the time they'd wear an eyepatch over it.

Oh I didn't know that. But I did know that eye-loss is rarely caused by battle, so I don't know why I had written that. For the record, I normally imagine the loss of an eye as being caused by a lossed battle, namely the punishment. :| Anyway, I didn't post to make this thread about how pirates got their injuries. :)

Pirates had health insurance anyway. You got compensation if you lost body parts in the line of looting. Also if you were incapacitated they were honour-bound to find a job you could do on the ship with you diminished capacity, or set you up on shore if you really couldnt do anything at all.

Either that, or other pirates wouldnt deal with them. Sorta like Mafia.

However, was it a pirate that stole Perry White's life savings in bearer bonds from his investing consultant's safe by physically beating the safe open with his bear hands in 'the new adventures of superman?'

Dont think so.
