Responsibilites of Modders

Post by Lady Nerevar »

First of all, congratulations on making the TR developers team! You have been promoted for the quality of your work and your dedication to the project. However, 'TR Modder' is not just a fancy title with extra posting privileges; as a TR Modder you will have several new responsibilities. These responsibilities include helping the project running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

1) The Showcase: Modders have the responsibility to review showcases threads related to their area. Some of you may have had to wait a while for your showcases to get attention, this is something we don't want happening. If you see a showcase posted in your promoted area you should give it a review or at least a general look over--especially if you are not working on anything at the time. Getting a fast response and good guidance shows our new incoming members that we are a dedicated project with good people.

2) Claiming and Modding: This may sound obvious to some, but you are expected to claim and work on claim in your area. If you are not able to work for some reason, you need to post why you are unable to do so. Otherwise, we expect to see claiming going on. This is especially important in early areas like Oblivion Exteriors and Models.

3) In Your Free Time: If there are no claims in your promoted area, please chill until there are :-P. I strongly encourage you to use this free time to further practice your skills, or especially to learn a new area of modding, if so desired. If you really want a job, contact your modding department's head or an administrator; they may have a special unofficial job for you, although it is highly unlikely. If you are in a less-defined field, like modeling or concept art, you can suggest claims that you'd like to see to your department's head.
