Claim type: Interior
Claim ID: TR_i3-369-Ind (#1415)
Faction: Indoril
Parent claim: TR_3-17-Ind (#121)
Claimed by: Swiftoak
Status: Approved (Progress: 100%)
Local map: GrottoLSD
Location: 1:(1897, -3704):0
Files: TR_i3-369-Ind_Swiftoak Woodwarrior_6.esp; TR_i3-369-Ind_Thrignar Fraxix_1.esp

---

Grotto beneath Gah Ruhn. Perhaps coordinate with the person making #38 and have the grotto connect to that interior. BEWARE OF BASEMENTS! THIS MUST GO DOWN AS NOT TO INTERFERE WITH THE POSSIBLE BASEMENTS OF IN TOWN INTERIORS! Click the local map for a screen shot in which the interior should be VERY apparent.

Haplo was bored, and I saw nothing wrong with using that pic for the local map. All that extra space would be wasted otherwise =P

Interesting. I've never done something like this before. I love doing caves though, so I'll claim this.

And lol at the pic ;)

Right, since i3-367 is now mostly out of the way, I have started working on this.

Let me tell you this is pretty massive, one of the largest interiors I've ever made, so if it takes some time, I hope you will understand and not revoke this. I'll be sure to make the wait well worth it :)

Anyways, on progress, I moved the entire cave into a new cell, and mingled a bit with the architecture. I adjusted some of the cave pieces and water level to make it more suited for the exterior.

As well, about 1/5 of the cave is now detailed. I haven't decided what to do with the OM pieces. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to download the WIP below.

75% Completed. I finished the Tomb's architecture. The only parts that need to be detailed are the tomb and the back part of the grotto.

Update!

It's nearly finished (around 95%). Latest file up top, as well I have some screenshots to give out. I'll explain everything later when I submit the claim.

I have a few more things to detail, (flora, lighting, containers), and I'm about done.

Whole Interior

Oh come on Haplo, I was only overdue by three days :P

Anyways, five months and 2300 references later, this thing is finally finished! :D The file is up top, as well I attached it below.

Now a few things. This interior has three parts to it.

On the east side is a smugglers/bandits den. This segment is accessible from the basement i3-367, where the smuggler lives.

From the west side of town, accessible from the river, is the grotto segment of the interior. It consists of relatively low-level loot, kollops, and plants.

However, sandwiched in between the grotto on the west and the smugglers of the cave is where the fun is in the interior.

I created the ruins of an old and long forgotten city. To keep with lore, I didn't make this too uber. However, there is one seperate interior you can access from the ruins, and that is the tomb. Now this can be an interesting place to set a potential quest involving a haunted house where the player has to go down beneath the city and enter the tomb (similar to the quest in Caldera where you went into an ancestral tomb and killed the ghosts). I'll post my ideas up later.

One more note. I blocked all access to the city ruins and tomb, because I don't want low-level characters stumbling into it. I barricaded the entrances into the ruins and hid them underwater quite well.

Later, we can have a scripter write a script that deletes the rocks that I placed as barricades when the player reaches a high-enough level.

Anyways, I worked quite hard on this, and I hope you will like this interior. :)

2300 refs in one cell? That may need to be broken up.

It's not that bad actually. I have a GeForce 6100 and things run decent in the CS. In-game I would imagine things running a little better, because the rendering distance is lower ingame than in the CS.

However, I'll leave it up to you guys whether you want to split this up. I recommend 3-4 sections. One for the smuggler's den, one for the ruins, one for the tomb, and one for the grotto. But we'd have to come up with some names for those cells.

Tyrion, when you reply to an interior thread in reviewing, to post your review... there's a button at the top left, with the words "use the reviewing panel". Check this and it will structure the post for you, it's much easier :-) Plus it will also list that a review has been done and move it automatically to final reviewing :-)

Yeah I know but it does wierd things to my browser which is why I do it manually, sorry

Remember all the times I've posted... nothing? Thats what happens when I use the review panel. For some reason no matter what I type nothing comes up and I have to go back and edit it.

What browser do you use? I would recommend the latest version of Firefox, 2.0.0.9 or so.
