Summary of Exterior Claims

Post by Terrez »

Hi All,

I can't guarantee that it's perfectly accurate, but attached is a small spreadsheet that summarises the current status of the Exterior Claims for the TR MW mainland.

I hope you find it interesting.

Cheers
Terrez.

Hi Again,

Here's an updated version of the spreadsheet, with a "Save as Web Page" output in html format as well, though it's not pretty enough for use on the TR main page.

Cheers
Terrez.

Heheh. Sweet. How long did it take you to collect all the data?

Thanks Morden,

Not very long, a two or three hours. That comes from staring at downloaded printouts of the claim maps while walking the available claims, in-game, for ideas.

The hardest part was counting all the green cells in Map 6! (At least Noirgrim's big claim made that a bit easier.)

From now on, it should be easy to keep up to date. Just adding in new claims or changing the status of existing ones.

Cheers
Terrez.

PS. Yes. I've finally made it to 100 posts! It only took me 6 months, with one month off for good behavior.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

I can keep it up to date and re-post it once a week in Excel format. It's probably the summary page that's most intetesting. Perhaps that could be converted into a HTML table for inclusion on the main TR site.

Cheers
Terrez.

PS. Sorry for those who don't have Excel. I'll see what I can work out.

I'm converting the html of that file given by OpenOffice to something more standards-conforming right now. It'll be ready sometime today and you'll then see it on the website.

Terrez:

If you like, you could make updates directly to the html files, so that it wouldn't need to be converted all the time. It's rather tedious and I think people would rather see the stats directly as html than through some office program.

I'll be dividing each sheet to a separate html page, so although the site itself has a lot of php in it, you'd just need to know the basics of html or use some WYSIWYG editor for the job.

prom:
No, just the claim data in tables. That Silgrad's progress bar thing doesn't exactly tell very much about the progress, although it looks nice.

Should work ok, but if it doesn't, please report all typos and such so they can be fixed. It doesn't look very fascinating, but such are tables and statistics.

Thanks Zephyr,

That looks great. I can probably edit the HTML files directly, but I'll still be using Excel to do all the calculations!

I'll revise the spreadsheet when I get some time on the weekend, to bring it up to date.

Hi All,

Here's the latest update of the TR Exterior Claims Summary, including claims 6-13 thru 6-17. I hope I've got them all right - these non-rectangular claims are a bit tricky.

Cheers

Excellent. Does it include the latest figures for Map 5 as well? There have been many recent submissions there.

There is a version of your spreadsheet that is indeed posted on the new website. I wonder how accurate it is?

Hi Nehron,

I haven't been on the forum much this week. Have I missed anything important? ;)

I'll download the latest version of the claim maps tonight and put an updated version of the spreadsheet up tomorrow.

Hi All,

As promised, here's the updated exterior claims summary in Excel and HTML. I've also included the combined claims map JPG, but it doesn't show claims 6-21 thru 6-23 yet.

Cheers

Awesome, I'll download it right away. As to recent events, ST split up with us for good :(. Check the Tavern for more info. That combined claim map would be nice!

Hi Nehron,

The combined claims map jpg is in the zip file.

Terrez.

PS. I was only kidding about missing anything important. I'd just spent 3 hours reading the threads!

Hi All,

Attached is an updated version of the Exterior Claims Summary and the Combined Claims Map.

Enjoy!

Cheers
Terrez.

PS. This time I remembered to include the sub-folder with the individual pages for the html version.
