OpenCS Alpha Testing

Post by Not »

Okay, so here's the thing; OpenMW has finally got an alpha version of the CS out, but they have no one to test the windows version (they all use Linux.) This is where we come in; we're going to try out this new editor and see how it goes. Please keep in mind that this IS an alpha release, so expect a lot of bugs. Also keep in mind that the people that developed this editor didn't really replicate the CS, because they thought it was a horrible tool. Because of this, the interface might be a little different, but still user friendly, and no problem for veteran modders to figure out, (or so I've been told.)

You can find the link here and here (the first one is for 32-bit windows, the second is for 64-bit.) Please also keep in mind that you cannot save/make .ESPs with this editor. This is really a volunteer test right now; you can't edit your existing work and the work that you put in will not be able to be implemented into Morrowind at this time. Right now this is basically a simple user test to see how well the interface is, and I'll have more details coming up about it later.

P.S. For those of you who have any additional questions, you can contact Sir_herrbatka on IRC at the #openmw channel on the freenode network.
