Conservatory. A grand school for the study of music, dance, poetry and other arts. Receiving rich funds from House Indoril, the temple and various other institutes, the Conservatory's alumni are highly respected and count some of the country's most renowned artists, past and present, among their number.

I'm thinking about claiming this one. I sent Stryker a message but he hasn't responded yet. My concern was that we only have one lute and two drum models and six TR paintings and a handful of finished poems. A conservatory, to me, would have much more than that. For one thing, we don't even have any paints or brushes or palettes or canvas's that painters would use. Has anybody looked into models for those things?

A couple things:

First, Stryker is a female ;-).

Second, at TR we don't post in a claim saying we are thinking about claiming something. Either we press the claim button and enter a message that way, or we don't press the claim button and we don't say anything about it either. An "I'm thinking about claiming this, but first what about X?" post is especially unnecessary if you have sent the Head of Interiors a PM inquiring about the above "X".

Finally, since this is a high-level interior, we would prefer to have a more experienced Interior Modder handle this claim. This isn't to suggest you aren't capable of doing it, but rather that you have zero approved interior claims as of now.

Granting, have fun!

As for such a saint, try one of the books on the saints we have in TR_Data, they might provide more answers.

Are lutes and drums going to be the only instruments in Morrowind?

Indoril gongs already exist in the mod at least, I don't know of any others.

Are there any plans to make some type of wood flute? I think it would be a great addition and would fit the Dunmer culture very well. Perhaps I should request it be made in the models section? The conservatory seems so grandiose for just two types of instruments.

Perhaps this building is focused on several artistic ventures so it isn't as though the entire building is going to be an endless repetition of the same few instruments.

edit: Ninja'd, and I apparently merged the gong and the bells in my mind at some point.

True. The Dunmer just seem like they would have primitive types of woodflutes, similar to what the native americans had.

You can have drums, lutes, singers and dancers in Morrowind.
Well you can also count tapestries as form of art but I dont think that is taught in this conservatory.
Paintings are com so thats not for dunmers...

Live Tattooing?

Being Indoril, the whole procedure follows a certain order and the perfect tattoo artist should theoretically be able to cause no pain or discomfort whatsoever. By demonstrating their skills the best tattoo artists gain contracts and patronage.

I would have a room relatively uncluttered, with just a raised plinth in the middle with a chair on it and a few more chairs/benches around it. Saves the modder from having to fill every single room with musical instruments.

The tattooing would have to come across fully during the NPCing of the building.

Okey, I got room just for that :D
Its actually not repetitive. I have room for lutes, drums, tattooing, lectures, whole band (with big drums), singing, office of principal, and acting. Plus entrance hall of coarse.
I plan to make underground but should this school have canteen or anything else?

Another question what is TRs approach to sixty house?
I share the theory that sixty house was house of musicians, even their monsters look that way (ash slave evolve to ascended sleeper here is little pic: http://forum.wiwiland.net/uploads/gallery/album_2/med_gallery_14104_2_123743.jpg ). So there can be something like secret shrine or just some hidden ash statues.
But thats just idea, what is your opinion?

I like that idea of tattoo art. I forgot about that. I'm excited to see what this interior will look like.

Do the Dunmer not paint or use any kind of art or oils or resins to make drawings/paintings? With all the insects, critters and ingredients around, there would be lots of variations for making paints.

I have little problem:
tr_act_int_bells don't really fit TR_furn_ind_bell_stand

though bad from a low angle, that shouldn't be visible so long as the player can never see under the bells. Dunno if that works with your plan for the bells in the int though.

I haven't found any saint for artist and I found just 2 plays (horror at castle xyr and lusty argonian maid which can't be used I suppose). And I don't know whether I should make little shrine but I guess not.
Any advice? Otherwise I just wanna report that I gonna finish this soon.

Horror of Castle Xyr is fine, just don't use the unique one. There's also A Hypothetical Treachery and the six-part play Fool's Ebony.

You might not want to use Fool's Ebony. It might be removed as part of our literature overhaul.

second floor: lecture room, tattooer, Mournhold players
first floor: office for master teacher, lute room
ground floor: drum room, singing room, room for whole band
underground floor: canteen, kitchen
I hope you'll like it.
