Mapped list of interiors in Old Ebonheart town

Post by Rats »

Updated January 5th 2015

Updated 7/7/2014 to include the wall towers, ie. all the interiors in OE town (save the sewers) are now listed

Updated 10/2/2014 with most of the proper interior names

These are the interiors we have for Old Ebonheart West, East and the Docks. For future reference.

OE WEST

the Plaza Area, which contains a few buildings classified as 'important as fuck'
i3-276-Imp - 'Grand Factor's Manor'; easily the most impressive and luxurious privately owned manor in Old Ebonheart, the guy living here is quite possibly the wealthiest person in all of Morrowind
i3-649-Imp - 'Grand Chapel of Talos';a cathedral's worth of awesome, the style of the interior resembles that of the chapels featured in Oblivion. The head of the Imperial Cult obviously resides in the quarters in the uppermost floor.
i3-718-Imp - 'Guild of Fighters' -- Provincial Headquarters of the Fighters' Guild
i3-279-Imp - 'Ruma Soanix's Manor' - a crazy, crazy place with false doorways and Clannfear heads mounted above the bed. Love this interior.
i3-283-Imp 'East Empire Company Headquarters'
i3-278-Imp - 'Imperial Archaeological Society' - a public museum, private library and living quarters.

the Well-To-Do / Commerce area
i3-719-Imp - 'Anjzhirra's Rare Goods' - has to be of great importance to be able to keep his shop in such an prestigious place, directly opposite the Chapel of Talos and the EEC boss' manor; EEC connections? Dwemer stuff smuggling? Maybe imports items from Cyrodiil that you don't get anywhere else in Morrowind?
i3-720-Imp - 'Guild of Barristers' - three lawyers educated in Cyrodiil and specialized in the Empire-Morrowind laws. They offer legal services as well as pro bono help for escaped slaves. They can also explain to the player the exceptional legal quirks of Old Ebonheart. repurposed from a Wood Elven trader
i3-721-Imp - 'Bitter-Wind Home' - Home of an old sea captain and spouse; has a neat basement with a natural cavern and treasure chests scattered around the house
i3-722-Imp - 'The Mother Alessia' - a very neat corner bakery/diner/café (though there's no coffee); run by the Cooks' Guild?
i3-592-Imp - 'Hamal's Redguard Goods' - a merchant from Sentinel. The stuff currently on display in the interior is nothing special, but we might have this guy sell unique imported goods from Hammerfell.
i3-593-Imp - 'Imeric Geordaine: Tailor' - definitely has the membership of the Imperial Guild of Tailors; should have some uniquely named clothing for sale
i3-594-Imp - 'Iela Free-Bear's Exotic Weapons' - some really exotic stuff (a Stalhrim dagger for example)
i3-595-Imp - 'Ioclania Manor' - there's a letter in the interior from the couple's son Ertius who's joined the Legion and has been called to Cyrodiil - really nice touch from the interior modder ("oh, are they calling the Legion's back?")
i3-596-Imp - 'Roran House' - A middle-class couple with a spare bedroom
i3-501-Imp - 'Legion Boarding House' - a boarding house where many of those who'd join the Legion will stay. Run by a retired legionnaire.
i3-726-Imp - 'Narusya's Fine Potions'
i3-725-Imp - 'Hastophos Velifer's House' - a necromancer
i3-724-Imp - 'Hhontjulf Fire-Mane's House' - This interior looks like the resident is often away. Lots of Nord stuff.
i3-723-Imp - 'Neel Gymont's Fine Art' - a gallery and a working area, artsy.
i3-280-Imp - 'Guild of Mages' - a three floor guildhall; in the basement are drugs, enchanted weapons and books on necromancy, yay! The uppermost part of the top floor is only accessible with levitation - a nice idea.

Wall towers
i3-764-Imp - 'Castle Bridge Towers' - a pair of towers that form a gateway guarding the bridge to OE Castle
i3-765-Imp - 'Western Watch Barracks' - A medium-sized wall keep in which acts as housing for the townsguard
i3-766-Imp - 'Western Watchtower' -- The tower is off-limits from civilians and locked from the outside
i3-767-Imp - wall tower - The tower is off-limits from civilians and locked from the outside
i3-768-Imp - wall tower - The tower is off-limits from civilians and locked from the outside
i3-769-Imp - wall tower - The tower is off-limits from civilians and locked from the outside
i3-770-Imp - 'Gate' - The main gates of OE. Being the only land entrance to the town, this interior acts as checkpoint for trade caravans and diplomatic/military envoys who'd enter there. Includes a small Census and Excise desk for checking and recording the visitors (preferably in the larger western tower since it's accessible from the ground) as well as quarters for the guards stationed with the gatekeeping duty. The Census and Excise check-in area is accessible to civilians whereas the military quarters obviously aren't. There's a crank with which the gates can be lowered. The gate towers are accessible from the sewers.

OE EAST

the Poor area

(which is probably what they want).

Might even be non-Dunmer for extra fauxness.
i3-217-Imp - 'Cyrtus Clagno's House' - A cobbler; doesn't offer a service but repairs the shoes of other poor people in the district for favours.

i3-284-Imp - 'Pride of Narusia' - a Hlaalu merchant ship
i3-286-Imp - 'Niben's Wind' - an EEC vessel
i3-777-Imp - 'TEM Princess Morgiah' -- flagship of the Imperial Navy in Morrowind
i3-287-Imp - 'Imperial Navy Command Post' - Office and a tower. Office and war room of some important navy officer. In the tower's downstairs there are lots of dwemer apparatuses and blueprints; in the original claim thread these were deemed as contraband, but the more obvious and interesting explanation is that the Navy's engineers are trying find ways to use/mimic Dwemer technology to improve/built new warships.
i3-776-Imp - 'Eastern Watch Barracks'

OE SEWERS - NOTE: this is what we currently have for sewers. They will need heavy revision/planning to fit the current OE

i3-591-Imp - The Sewers - a huge ass underground network, the most creative use of the old imperial set i've ever seen; ten cells:
*Sewer Main -- accessible from the Empress Katariah (Thieves' Guild tavern). A hub from where one can reach both the West City Sewer and the East City Sewer; also a hidden door leads to the Central Processing, which is a TG hideout.
*Central Processing -- a TG hideout. Has a bed and Thief tapestries and everything.
*East City Sewer
*West City Sewer
*Maintenance Room -- a vampire named Entius lurks here, has killed the maintenance fellas
*Subsewer
*East Sewer Hub
*West Sewer Hub
*Castle Sewers
*Abandoned Sanctuary
*Raathim Ancestral Tomb -- to be made
*A sewer pipe from underneath the castle emptying to the Inner Sea for sneaky-ninja entrances / escapes -- to be made

Great work Rats. I can already see one or two ints that I would like to change- the lumber merchant and the hunters- but these can be discussed when we have our first section meeting.

Wood Elven trader - in the claim thread the house supposedly belongs to a Bosmer who imports wood from Valenwood.
Isn't cutting trees down in Valenwood considered sacrilegious?

It's great to see Old Ebonheart finally receiving the organization it needs.

Rats misread the claim- the trader exports wood to Valenwood, which is fine for the Green Pact. It still doesn't make lot of sense though. Morrowind isn't exactly known for its great supply of lumber, or for its easy access to Valenwood.

Export wood to Valenwood? That's even worse. We'll figure something better.

I've now completed the list of interiors. Right now what strikes me as the biggest oddity is that there are no ships of the Imperial Navy present, though the city's supposed to be somewhat of a navy base.

I recall Wolli mentioning he had some nice Imperial ships we might be able to use.

Good name.

I've added a rough diagram of the sewers. I'll add more informative summaries of the individual cells when I've got the time.

Does anybody happen to know if we have the interiors for the walls and smaller towers surrounding OE?

If we don't i'd be tempted to ignore them altogether. We don't always give walls interiors because they're so pointless and boring

Do the towers need interiors? Couldn't the just be exterior eye-candy? They'd be boring to explore anyway.

If the towers have arrow slits they need to have an interior. Towers without access seems weird to me anyway. Setting up claims and making them is easy enough to not do it properly.

Make them locked? (= freeform targets for thief PC)

I endorse this solution. Simple as hell, yet effective.

You mean like scripted lock? "This door won't budge" messagebox always gets me irritated. Then I difinately want to know what is behind it.

No, we're talking about normally locked doors that can be picked. That way the towers become an off-limits area for the civilians and exploring them will require sneaking. == instantly more interesting

I've released a fuckton of OE tower interior claims. Will add them to the list of interiors as they're claimed, finished and reviewed.

Updated maps + lists to include every interior for OE town (save the sewers).

Awesome work. I can see we've made much progress since you put up the last list of interiors!
