Description
(-29, 4) #6 See local map. Slightly larger house. The couple that lives here orders food from elsewhere and resells it for the hamlet. They'll sell simple food to the player too.

In addition, you could try adding a small kitchen for the people who live in the hamlet to eat a warm meal. Bear in mind this is like eating at someone's house, not visiting a restaurant.

Uses de_p.

I'll claim this cute cozy little hamlet. A poor husband and wife dunmer couple. Will use de_p furniture and TR clutter where appropriate.

This says "slightly larger" so do you want the shell that Dormichigan64 used for his interior?

I believe they were referring to the use of this as the exterior https://www.dropbox.com/s/wqdjb93m0loyzw2/tr_ex_red_hut_01.png?dl=0. It has that tail section.

However, it does not appear that an interior was made to match this exterior. So I'll leave it to you. If you can somehow incorporate that tail section into your interior, that would be great - otherwise you can just use the normal hut interior.

I'm still looking to see if I can find another interior that was made for that exterior shell - but so far no luck. If I find something, I'll let you know.

There isn't any shell that matches that. Even the vanilla shell ex_redoran_barracks_01 doesn't match the tail. The tail appears to just serve as an exterior aesthetic.

I'm going to use in_redoran_hut_01; a simple one level interior; no downstairs level. It's big enough for a nice kitchen and table for guests as well as stocking food to sell to the other denizens of this hamlet.

There are 7 interiors total in this area. Does this couple provide food to all of them? As in, do the other 6 families depend on this couple to sell them food?

Interior is finished. It's only one level, not two. The shell is larger but the tail doesn't serve any functionality except for aesthetics. There is plenty of food in here to be sold to the other inhabitants.

I have a simple quest idea and I made a unique item for it. The wife wants you to take the Delivery Goods to #5 Huntsman neighbor who placed a specific order for Ornada eggs, ornada meat and bread. So I made an item called "TR_sack_m5-69-RED_quest" that is next to the door. It's just a simple task and the reward is that the wife invites you to have dinner with her and her husband; no gold involved. Player would probably just have a random selection of food added to his inventory to simulate this.

Of course you could be sneaky and eat the Deliver Goods once you get outside and go back in and lie to the quest-giver and also get your free loaf of bread. That would create problems between the neighbors down the road, though. Might be something to expand upon for future quests.

Do I write the quest ideas related to the interior in this thread or in another thread? They do it differently over at Province:Cyrodiil.

This was a fun little interior to design; my first Redoran home.

EDIT: Since everyone comes to her and her husband to buy food, or she goes to them, either/or, she and her husband know pretty much all the drama, gossip and secrets that go on in the hamlet. However, they keep it to themselves and "play dumb" when asked if they know anything because they want to keep the hamlet civil and peaceful. Business is sturdy the way things are. The denizens of the hamlet give her goods to sell in the markets of other towns and in return she brings them what they want; no drama, no hassles. Stirring up shit between her neighbors by spilling their secrets would make a big mess and not only be bad for business but may even cause violence or some of the neighbors to move out. Some things are better kept to yourself.

If Player gets to know her or her husband well enough, he may learn a few rumors and gossip. What Player does with this information is up to him.

(I have ideas for all 7 homes of the hamlet).

I'll double check on where to post the quest - but I think here is fine.

Alrighty, I added a Bloodmoon clothing chest and few Bloodmoon rugs and some Bloodmoon clothing since I overlooked just how cold it is near the Rift Pass.

Just to verify, is this hamlet in the Rift Pass or near it? If near it, then what is the name of this specific area, other than Map 5?

This hamlet (I still can not find the name of it) is in the North Velothis Region. Swiftoak's map of all the region names is attached.

A place being cold is not a good reason to start using Skraal furniture.

Looks like it was once in a much larger format. Do you have the original, Seneca? I should probably just ask SwiftOak if he still has it. Thanks.

It's the only chest I could find that had cold gear in it. Unless you want me to make a custom TR chest or closet with cold gear.

The Skaal chest contains:
BM_Nordico2_shirt
BM_Wool01_shirt
BM_Nordic01_Robe
BM_Nordic01_gloveR
BM_Nordic01_gloveL

....which is pretty much the same stuff I have laying around the house, in addition to some TR Redoran clothing.

How do Redorans dress in Soluthis and Rift Pass? I would imagine BM clothing since it's cold and snowy there. Wearing TR or TR-Redoran-specific clothing would loook befitting for their affiliation but wouldn't look right for the environment. Dark Elves are much more prone to cold weather than Nords are, and they would dress accordingly.

I went ahead and updated the interior again. I removed all BM_Nordic clothing and just used BM_Wool clothing. I have one TR_common_skirt_redoran_red laying around the house just to give the interior that Redoran flavor.

Is this the Rift Pass that is to the east of the hamlet?

And here is the custom TR-BM closet I made. I figured shoes and gloves would be in the interior and not in the closet.

Do you not want BM_Nordic clothing used in the hamlet at all? Only BM_Wool and some TR-redoran?

Nope that is the original size. Are you looking at it in IExplorer? Try downloading it and using another program to look at it.

Your image is a bit dark, but I believe it is.

I'll have to leave the rest of the questions to the more experienced leads. I was thinking of the wool items, when I mentioned using BM items. You may want to remove the bear and/or wolf items, I'm not sure if these animals will be in this area. I personally would not object to a few huntsman or Nordic items to be in these interiors for the reason that they are close to Skyrim and some trading with them would be occurring in the area. But again - I'll leave that to the more experienced leads.

The Redoran should not wear Nord-syle clothing.

The writing in the legend box is extremely small. Looks like it was once big but was then shrunk. It's no big deal. There will be other ones made in the future.

So only BM_Wool clothing and no BM wolf/bear rugs?

I made that custom closet for house #6 but for the other interiors, should I just put their wool clothing out in the open? It would be helpful if TR_Data was updated with a couple cold weather containers like a chest and a closet that had BM_wool clothing in them.

I updated the claim.

I'd personally just say leave in the wool clothing for now. Hopefully at a future date it can be replaced by new Dunmer style clothing, like the shoes in the bottom right of this image.

The BM clothing does appear to just be generic warm-weather clothing, as basically everyone in Solstheim wears it, even non-Skaal, but it would still be nicer to have something distinctly Dunmeri.

That would be the best approach. I suspect lots of things will be replaced in the coming years as our TR_Data gets updated. Eventually when the entire province is completed, we may be going back through some of the models and updating or changing them any ways.

So I'll go ahead and use BM_Wool, although that means I won't be able to use containers since we don't have any made yet.

I'll leave the TR_closet I made that has BM_Wool in it. It can be replaced later.

EDIT: I made a final edit where I added a couple Jagga alchemy objects since I hadn't added any TR liquor.

The Husband is the one who makes the trips to Soluthis or Rift Pass to buy supplies and food for the hamlet. And he uses a hoom as transport, which is operated by the son in i5-66-Red interior. So that son and this husband always travel together to buy things for the hamlet. The wife is then the one who delivers the food to the others in the hamlet, and collects whatever payment they offer her, whether coin or other items. This is also how she learns of all the drama that goes on because she goes to everybody's home.

I finished this a while ago. This needs to go to reviewing.

As a heads up to the review, all of my northmarkers are at 0,0,0 rotation because I was under the assumption that they would be rotated accordingly once merged with the main data file. But I've been told recently that I'm supposed to be rotating them. Is that correct?

Rotating the northmarker to match the exterior is the interior modder's responsibility.

Ah. My mistake. I hope the reviewers rotate my markers for my submitted work.

I uploaded this interior again with the Northmarker rotated.
