I think you'll make this int epic. Anyway, it's supposed to be the same level of the narsis interiors.

Depending on how far into the hill you want to go, there could be some OM stuff there, I think.

I'm up for claiming this. A big important claim like this is just what I need to motivate me to mod. Smile

I Will start with what Cire had planned and go from there and try to make it has epic as Cire's Narsis Council hall.

On a side note: make neither vault nor records chamber too large, because we have a lot of either already. The vault, I think, may be unnecessary in this interior. (Think of it, most parliaments don't have vaults under them.)

I'd say concentrate your every effort on making an interesting council chamber, i.e. do something special with the tileset. Perhaps try to go for a sort of aula-like construction.

Can someone please remove the dependencies from Lud's file other than Morrowind, Tribunal, Bloodmooon, and TR_Data. I can't get TESDTK to work.

Okay; I'll leave out a vault and try not to go overboard on any record chamber.

I think it might be best to start from scratch. Alternatively, you can load the latest version of Map 3 in Internal Downloads in the CS; it's merged into the file there. TF: Does that question even need asking...

Fair enougth

By the way, how many Indoril Councilors will there be?

Edit: I've decided to use the older file, though only so at least a tiny bit of the former claimer's work is salvaged(Probabily only a few bookshelves, and garden arrangements).

Update

I believe I have the basic design of the Council Chamber close to completetion but I would like approval and comments before moving onto finalizing and detailing it and starting on other parts of the building that will connect to it.

I think I got the right feel for it down. It's pretty big, but appropriate considering that the Indoril have been the dominant Great House for most of Morrowind’s history. They'd certainly have the most impressive HQ.

Anyway, I'll just let some screenies do the talking Razz

Questions? Comments? Concerns?

I also have the entrance lobby’s shell pretty much finished minus a few needed fixes. After that I will be adding some scribe offices, a modest chapel, and some other minor things. All my work is in the interior cell “TR i3-25-Ind, Indoril Council House” Please note that the file’s size is inflated by me still having Nomadic’s interiors in a separate cell.

Personally I think the 'throne' looks a bit too obviously like a mock-up made of random objects. For me it took something of a double take to understand I wasn't meant to be looking at a window and a floating cushion.

Otherwise it looks pretty sweet to me. Smile

A new "table" and throne is needed - like BC said; it's a little too mocked up as it is there.

Otherwise though I like it, it looks nice and grand.

I'll try to play around with them a bit. Perhaps I'll be able to disguise the mocked upness of them. Any suggestions of statics that could be used towards this would welcomed Smile

I've made some decent progress on this. The shell is nearing completion and I've begun to clutter it.

Someone might want to start removing old files from the first page of this thread...

Anyway, here's some screens Razz

A modest sized chapel to Almalexia for pious House members at the Council House to pray at while they're off duty. I'll probably end up decreasing the brightness a tad:

A lounge area for Indoril Council House workers:

Scamp told me in IRC. I still think they are a bit weird for this interior. Really I think they're kind of weird for any cell except for a cathedral...

I'm making progress on this, little by little. The East Wing of the building is pretty much finished.

I am also continuing to refine the council chamber:

http://i771.photobucket.com/albums/xx352/TR_Yeti/TR_House%20Indoril%20Council%20house/Morrowind2010-10-0914-24-45-65.jpg

Unfortunately, I have a feeling I've already reached the ref limit with it (its 700 right?) so I'll have figure out how to cut some refs so I can finish cluttering it. The lighting will also need some tweaking.

(Perhaps I've made it too big…)

The limit is arbitrary, but if you think you can, then it'd be best to split it, yes.

the ref limit is somewhere in the 700-1000 range, but depends more on how it plays on older computers.

Well that's a relief. I haven't gotten any lag while testing it in-game so far, though my computer isn't exactly "old". Still, I shouldn't need too many more refs over the 700 I already got.

I'll keep trying to think of a better look for it, but I can't make any promises 8) I know that Nalin didn't like the council tables either, so I might replace them with regular de_r tables in the end.

I think the throne and the table should have custom models. I realise that's probably a fair bit of work but it is the Indoril Council House in Almalexia. Ought to make it look a bit different.

I like those tables with papers on at either side of the main table by the way. Makes it look very important.

I think if a suitable throne can't be made from existing pieces then it shouldn't be added. I don't even know why a throne is necessary. It's not like Helseth is visiting them for each meeting.

For the head of House Indoril? I never said anything about King Helseth. I called it a throne because that's what Yeti called it before he replaced it with a normal chair.
