Very nice art, however I don't know what it could be used for. That's more American Indian looking, but none of the TES races look that way.

Post by Cyrodil »

We can use it as a wild humanoid. And if it dosnt excist on the TESCS, we can make it.But if it look so american, i can di some changes on it?

Yeah just make it a tanned and haggard looking imperial rather than a whole different race. THere are wildmen all over Cyrodiil I think...not sure if it would be much use anyway.

With some changes, it could work as a warrior in one of the Skyrim holds.

Wait a second, wasnt there an NPC in the Grazelands areas that wore these feathers or something similar? I forget if it had any significance but any more info about the character that wore them may shed some insight about these characters as a whole.

Well, the Ashlanders have a culture that is very similar to the "stereotypical" Native American.

Skyrim would be good, but give him some more fur if you go that way. It's chilly there. (I known, I know, they have their bloody immnunity to Frost, but thats not the point. Its not roleplaying accuratly.)

Woah morden, I forgot all about turok, but they do look really similar. Somebody should pull up some Turok for PS2 screens, they were even more similar. I'll see if I can find some.

No offence, I,m just being honnest, but I really don't like this concept. This guy looks really, but really American Native. Perphaps it's not pretty obvious for those who don't know American Natives much, but it really looks like an Indian. In my opinion, rethink this concept, I don't want American Natives in Tamriel...

Well, looking at Turok pictures online, I'm pretty sure that this is a picture of the Dinosaur Hunter, and not a Tamriel native. Now, issues of copywrite infringement aside, I think you should familiarize yourself with the different cultures of Tamriel so that you can have better luck with your concepts. This drawing actually includes an interesting blend of Ashlander and feral Nordic elements. Do some research at The Imperial Library, and see if you can separate these elements. I don't know what the future holds for TR, but at some point we are going to do Skyrim, which has nine distinct holds (tribes), each with their own aesthetics. Modify Turok here, and see if you can give us a concept for one of the more barbaric Nord holds.

Im soon finish with my tamriel guard, and it will soon be posted. But i think that indians are official, and if it is in a game it should not be copyrighted.

American Indians aren't copyrighted, but the design of Turok itself is. Your drawing is exactly the same, right down to the gold armband and the gold wristband. You have talent though. Try using your imagination to come up with distinct drawings.

That's pretty good, though the helm looks like the bear or snow bear helms that were found in Solstheim. I agree with Jale though, you should definatley make it wolfier. Oh, and try keeping all of your art under one thread. You could just call it Cyrodil's concept art.

It's no problem. If you like it that way or whatever, it's fine, you can take full credit. I don't mind at all. It's still your concept anyway. I was just fooling around, it's not like I mean to do anything with it.

Ok, if you want. I really don't mind it saying simply "Made by Cyrodil", I mean, It was your idea, and more than half of the art was yours. Like I said, it's not my art really.
