Lacking protien? They live in a contenant who's fauna are 90% insects!

This is my first drawing for Tamriel Rebuilt. As it says it's of a Breton Guard. Does anyone think that they should be wearing less armour and more clothing?

The concept is fine, but please use imageshack to host it, so we can keep space for the files that have to be uploaded like .ESPs.

Welcome, DarkSoul! Right off the bat, I have to say you pay excellent attention and thought to detail, and that's very crucial.
Your Breton guard looks just as I supposed what greater Bretony patrol would look like. I'd say you've got a good balance with the cloth, tabard and armour. It's a wonderful first-piece submission!

I bet the chainmail was a bitch to draw, good job though, it's a great concept.

It's a typical armor for European medieval nations. They used what you'd call a chaindress, and wore a robe over it with the emblem of the faction they served. Mithril's pretty much the same thing.

seems to me they had plenty use for chainmail in High Rock. I don't see any problem with bretons in chainmail, it's very practical

The answer is no.
TR isnt the place to recruit people for personal projects. We've got enough on our plate as is. If there is a specific artist you wanted to work with, you could send them a PM, however.

What Macar said. As lovely as your description is, off-topic refers to art within our project, or the elder scrolls for that matter. We're not a sounding board for other work.

Very first drawing (as far as I can remember) for Tamriel Rebuilt. Not really made specifically for it, but I had it lying around, scanned it, coloured it, and I decided it wasn't that unfitting for a possible Dwemer, Elsweyr or Hammerfell armour.

Wouldn't a gauntlet like the one in Lutemoth's Camonna Tong drawing be a super cool artifact? I'd love to see some of his Dres equipment and clothes in Map6

Dunno about making up artifacts, that's a bit dodgy.

alright, so i have recently viewed the movie the mist.... mr. king (the author of the book) must have played oblivion. because the movie is very oblivion-esque. i could have actually believed i was watching an oblivion invasion in modern times there may be a few things in there to inspire the artist or writer. i hated the end though.

A really of topic piece here, kinda like a logo/website link thing I did when I was experimenting around! Tell me what you think =]
(oh, and I'm not taking any credit for the coin graphics in the background as they are the actual textures from the game)
Have a good one,

There are multiple version of a striders, but the only thing ive heard that pertains to river striders is this.
"Strider, Plains
Land Strider’s are giant insects native to the grassland’s regions of Morrowind. They are commonly used as mounts on the mainland, but are rarely seen on Vvardenfell.
Strider, River
River Strider’s are giant insects native to the mainland’s rivers. A compartment for passengers and cargo is hollowed from the creature's shell; the driver directs the beast by directly manipulating exposed organs and tissues. River Strider’s are used inter-changeably with boats.
Strider, Silt
Silt Striders carry passengers and cargo between settlements on Vvardenfell. Fares depend on distance to be traveled. Silt Striders are giant Insects. A compartment for passengers and cargo is hollowed from the creature's shell; the driver directs the beast by directly manipulating exposed organs and tissues. Silt Striders travel between Ald'ruhn, Balmora, Seyda Neen, Suran, Gnisis, Molag Mar, Maar Gan, and North Landing near Vivec."

I saw your avatar and don't understand why you took an image of mine for it without asking permission. I would have probably said yes anyways, it's just not cool to take without asking.

I was looking through the concept art at the main site, and found several drawings of Skyrim buildings. What showed was houses built with huge tusks, and I wondered from which animal they would be as there are no elephants in Morrowind. Do you have any information about that?

There are Boars in Solstheim which have tusks, so its probably not unlikely there would have been some sort of Mammoths around as well within some highland parts of Skyrim.
Also Horkers have tusks so some could have come from larger breeds of Horker.
That would be my assumption anyway.

I hope it's ok to put this here.
I like this original concept art very much. Especially the "spear head".
Something that always bugged me was that I didn't find any of those scarabs/primeval scribs as an ornamental element in dwemer ruins.
Maybe someone can use my picture as an inspiration for something entirely different.

These arent my images so Im unsure if this is allowed, but while I was searching DeviantArt for architecture ideas I found these pictures and they reminded me of possible Morrowind locations. Hoping they might inspire further.
http://xxxlisicaxxx.deviantart.com/art/mtg-141186273
^^I like this one alot, though the rock formations arent exactly practical 3d models.
http://pintoro.deviantart.com/art/The-desert-city-151216125
^^Pretty cool city inthe rocks. Architecture hits me like something Velothi.
http://freelancerart.deviantart.com/art/Atlantis-130502774
^^I know this is supposed to be an underwater picture, but when I first saw it I thought it looked like an elven city built in a volcano-area.
http://theconti.deviantart.com/art/Hive-133280957
^^Reminds me of the very first piece of concept art released for Morrowind.
http://targete.deviantart.com/art/Mycon-125745388
^^I absolutely love this image. With the mushroom forest brainstorming going on right now its my opinion this needs to be examined. Love, love, love it.

Llorin: Nice drawing.
Zackg: I have some reservations about this. I do find inspiration in other people's work when I draw to practice my skills and try new things. However, when drawing concepts for a public mod like TR I try to avoid getting inspiration there. In the hands of less experienced concept artists like us, it's just dangerous. It just becomes too appealing to copy lots of elements from the artwork and call the result your own. It borders on plagiarism, especially if it's without the original artist's consent.

Hello all... I had drawn a few things back a while, not particularly about Tamriel, but inspired by it somehow... I hope you will like them.
An armour design:
http://letrune.deviantart.com/art/Warrior-woman-137095642?q=gallery%3Aletrune%2F25006276&qo=1
And another idea:

If not good nor belonging here, please excuse me, I was just trying to make myself useful somehow...

That is a great direction for the warriors of Dres, I think. Makes me want to have special new hairstyles, more loose and unkempt, for the southeastern parts of Morrowind. It could be a nice way to differentiate the Houses and regions beyond architecture and garb.
We need to finish that new Skyrender model. :/
