This may be a dumb question, but... Does this claim have scripting involved? I started working on it for fun and I think it looks pretty good but I havent learned scripting for OB yet so just wondering.

unless there is a way to get a creature to attack when something is taken I would say yes. (do they react like humans when someone touches their stuff?)

i think so, so, give the creature a persistant ref and then set him as Cell owner ^^

Looks pretty nice, although I think there should be a bit more loot. Have you considered claiming this interior?

As you can see, it's a banquet hall, rather dusty and cobwebby with lots of deco and the table in the middle.

Hey all. I was hoping maybe someone could point in a good direction. Here's the conundrum:

There's a Flesh Atronach (FA)...

FA is a member of a faction ruling Cell 16...

FA already knows to never move unless to attack...

When a player takes something from Cell 16, it's marked as stolen...

BUT FA doesn't care that you're stealing from him. Why?

_______________

Unfortunately, creatures cannot be cell owners but factions can so a faction owns the cell. Does the fact that his agression is low?

hmmmm. in the AI package, (presuming your creating a new package for this) make sure his aggression is turned up. and you could always use the handy GetIs --> Player.Stolen cant remember exactallybut its somthing similar to this, been a while since i saw an AI package

Can someone revoke this claim. I finished the cell itself but the scripting always kills me in the end. Basically the flesh atronach's scripting isn't working. There is a guy in one of the cellars but he's programmed sleep forever.

There's no need to revoke it, I don't think. We only need to get some help with scripting. I don't want to give this interior a chance to become less like Pan's Labyrinth than it is now :-)

I never mentioned being a scripter. If anything I mentioned my noobines at the very meaning of 'script'.
I can't script for shit, but then again, I never tried. If someone were to guide me through it, I can give it a try.

Plus I'd need an interior modder password to claim this (wink, wink, nudge, nudge :) )

I'm starting to think it would be faster to teach a dog to script this that to actually wait for one to come around. Are there any objections to me just submitting this to review so we can check for physical errors?

The interior was done, just I couldn't script the flesh atronach to only move if any object belonging to X was taken.

Would that require scripting?

Theory:

Set the cell to <Created Faction> ownership.
Add the faction to the creature's faction.
Play with AI (Aggression, Confidence, etc).

No, I'm not sure about this...

If I have the time to learn a bit of scripting, I'll have a crack at this later in the week.

Nanu says this is impossible without OBSE, so what should we do? Revoke/retool?

Revamp the nightmare.

Idea:

The table is filled with people who are sitting and eating. When player approaches table, the host announces "Ah the main course has arrived." Everyone gets up and attacks the player with forks and knives.

That's possible and very easy. We just need forks and knives to be made into weapons and a single line of dialogue. You could use TRIGZONEPlayer02 and attach an OnTriggerActor to make the sound play and set everyone's hostility to a high value.

Just for hearsay, I believe Nanu is wrong. In Oblivion, if you take something from anyone's house while they're standing right there watching you, they'll call the guards, attack, or what have you.

What makes this so different?

There's no reliable scripting function that can detect if an item in the cell is taken while in eyesight of the fleshy.

There doesn't need to be a script function for that. Ownership of the item would take care of that, without a script.

Go to the Inn of Ill Omen. Start stealing food while in plain view of the innkeeper. That innkeeper, who was standing perfectly still before, anxiously awaiting for you to buy a room for the night, will pull out a hammer and start swinging.

Sure will, but he's not a creature. I need a script function for a creature to care if you took stuff. I know you can put a creature as the owner of a cell, but it just doesn't care. :(

Far too late for it to matter: set the owner to be an invisible NPC hidden away in a place where it can see the player but cannot be reached. Put a script on it so that if he becomes hostile (as a reaction to theft), then the creature becomes hostile too.

I tried that over a year ago. It doesn't work. Maybe I did it wrong, but I don't think so. The NPC owned everything in that cell and I placed him in the balcony above the room. I also made sure that he had no spells to cast. The damn flesh atronach didn't move. I don't think the NPC saw my PC steal shit. I'll try again.

I suggest making the daedra a part of a faction that is neutral until you take something, at which point it turns hostile.

tried that too. Created a separate faction. Set everything in cell to belong to this faction. Atronach stood there and let me steal everything in the room.

Because of this being the last int in need of a review and I didn't like it just sitting here... I took a look at this one and almost every clutter item in this int is floating, from what I saw.
Looks like it needs to be fixed anyways. Send back.
