Does it need to have "Fort" in the name?

I was thinking something along the lines of "Silverthorne Keep" and put it on top of a mountain or something.

Are there any fortresses in Vanilla Morrowind with names without 'Fort' in them?

Are you sure we need one? There is already a small fort outside Tel Muthada. And another just accross the border in Map 3.

That isn't a real fort, and Map 3 is miles away from where it is going (it is replacing XXX, known as the worst settlement in TR history)

As for the name of the fort, I like Fort Ludmoth the most  But keep good suggestions coming.

Alright... I reckon it's between Fort Windmoth, Fort Galemoth, and Fort Stormmoth. But I want the better of the three names, so people vote. :slavedriver: I will end the voting whenever I feel like it. :]

I've chosen Fort Windmoth :)

I'd also like to declare I have finally figured out the last step for splitting out the claim (thanks for the help people ;)) except getting rid of scripts, and have detailed a whole two cells, and vertex shaded almost all the others.

Doesn't seem smaller to me than, say, Fort Moonmoth.

Were I to nitpick, I'd say I don't like to see fortifications in a pit, surrounded by hills that let people just jump over the walls or target the soldiers behind the walls with arrows and spells. It should be atop one of the hills, with maybe a barbican to control the road.

I can't actually move it to the top of a pit without completely reshaping that cell and the ones surrounding, and then moving the road. It was my original intention to do that, but there are a few interior cells in the surrounding claims and there is some fine modding around here, so from a practical standpoint it wasn't a good idea.

That left the fortress to be in the "pit". I'll extend the rocks from all three directions to the side of the fortifications and make them lower than the walls, so it won't be as bad as it might.

Joco: it is small, but about the same size at Fort Moonmoth or Fort Buckmoth (maybe a little smaller, since they utilise towers to increase floorspace). I can increase the size, but I don't reckon it would actually improve it.

BTW: what do you think about the damaged wall section?

Update: I've detailed about 10 exterior cells now.

I also made the mistake (in a way) of looking at interiors in this claim, and the reviewers must have been sleeping. I've fixed about half the interiors now, although I stopped when I saw a misalignment in the Nameci Caverns (the 1200 ref one Aaron must have made) and realised how much fiddling it would take to fix it. I'll get to it eventually.

Update: I'm working may way through the Mephalain Mountains (these will need to be renamed some time). Oh shit though, I'm finding myself spending more time and effort fixing careless errors than actual detailing. Still, it'll be worth it in the end.
