K. First pack of meshes for review (Haplo?) and merging. All necrom wall types have been now remade. I made some more additional nifs. Now, the modder has a lot more freedom in building the city. Fully modular. They're more pretty, lower on size and polies too.

tr_ex_nec_inwall.nif should be deleted, I didn't make a replacement for it. It's not of any use anymore. A rescaled version of one of mine meshes gives just the same effect (but a better one ;) )

Bridge is halfway done(not included in this pack).

Enough for today. Results:
Replacement for all bridge related meshes - Done
New gate
2 planters

Oh, and delete tr_ex_nec_plaza.nif too. It hurts my eyes.

They look great aro :) I just checked them in NIFskope. Here's what I found:

Tr_ex_nec_pl_02.nif - there are two gaps/visible seams between the meshes which form the top ledge of the planter.

TR_ex_nec_cause_s.nif - object is not centered on coordinates 0,0,0.

I hope that helps.

Those look pretty hot Aro! :D

This will make my work so much easier. Thank you! Some screens of the new walls would be awesome, but I'll check these meshes out later anyways! :)

Thanks again!

Update time! Entrances. They are velothi retextures now. Do you think that's ok? I recommend taking a look at these retextures and on the old necrom entrance before answering this question.

Plus, 4 necrom houses. I'll be on the rest of them now, and maybe on one more tr_ex_nec_hwall piece (with stairs implemented into this, just like the almalexia mesh that was a reference for these walls.).

I gave the meshes a look in nifskope and I didn't find any errors. All I could see was a vertex error on Velothi mesh tr_ex_nec_e_02. There are a couple polys to either side of the entrance which shouldn't be dark brown. Nice work :)

Great work! Could you provide me a list of what else you plan to do, and perhaps a timeframe for getting this done?

Of course, take as much time as you need, these are great, but I'd like to get these all merged in Data so I can get to work as soon as possible! :)

Thanks again!

Currently I'm planning only to replace all what already was in TR_Data. Without any deep changes. If you want something new, ask :) Uh, time, I honestly don't know. I do my best on this.

A Necrom gate arch would be nice, but I can probably come up with something creative with the causeway arches and towers so don't sweat it if you're too busy :P

I strongly recommend updating the TR_Data with the pack I uploaded above and asking Swiftoak to work on Necrom. This pack includes all I have done so far. Further improvements and request fills can be done later. This way will propably speed up the progress.

Nah just kidding. I've been working on dialogue for Alt'Bosara and surroundings while waiting so no worries. A change in work would be nice though, but as always take your time if you wish. :)

TR_Data here: http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/esp/browser.php has all the Necrom meshes approved so far. (To my knowledge) The only things I'd add now are the Daedric bat, the Indoril bridge, and Indoril tent fixes.

Aro what's left for these? Are there some custom meshes Swiftoak needed? I thought we'd gotten them all already. I certainly hope we've got at least a little more than 30% of the meshes done so far.

I think all that is left are simple replacements of meshes that are already included in TR_data. Who cares about numbers anyway? You can change it to 90% if you want. It makes no difference to me. I didn't had the chance to work on this. Switching exporter settings sucks and Oblivion needed me.

How are things going Aro? Just checking. No rush :P

There are a few buildings still in need of replacement (Moth and Fire, manor buildings).

Have you progressed on any of them? It's alright if you haven't. Right now I'm just merging interiors, re-arranging stuff.

Uploading the maxscene and dropping the claim. I use the hide option, so a lot of stuff is hidden and grouped and all that. But there isn't anything new that isn't merged yet, methinks... I might be wrong though. if any of tr_ex_nec_h_01-09 are shit, use the ones included here as a replacement. Have fun with exporting :P

What's needed to complete this claim exactly? I'm taking a look at the file but I don't understand what's precisely needed. Export each grop to a nif? Redesign something? Adding/changing/fixing textures?
I'm thinking of claiming it but I want to know first the exact amount of work I should redirect on this from my thesis :)

well, looking through this thread it appears that the Moth and Fire tavern and the manor buildings need replacement based on the file provided by Aro. im not sure if this is accurate however, hopefully someone more knoweleged in this area will drop by.

A certain doorjamb needs to be fixed, likewise those causeway urn thingies use a House Redoran texture; plus there is the question of the Tempel exterior. Also Haplo said he'd look for the Necrom saint statues which were retextures of Delyn and Olms. So there are a couple loose ends for sure.

ACTUALLLY... It is about that not all the exterior houses (yes Necrom has houses models! omg!) were remade. I did those from 01 to 09, the rest (10 and above) are still shit! They simply suck comparing to the stuff that I remade completely.

All that you wrote has nothing to do with my intention of this claim.

The temple has a claim of its own... PLUS, I fixed so MANY times doorjambs that there can't be anything wrong, kay?

Stuff like the Necrom tower and some fucking causeway urns and its nature i didn't even count.

BASICALLY... this is all good. Well, it should be, because there was a city build with those thingies, once. They were a complete mess, but it was done! So, you can either keep replacing the stuff that wasn't already replaced with new stuff (that you would have to make) or just work on what you have now.

Sorry for refering to TR as "you", but, but, I'm drunk, kay?

Then I'd suggest someone double check TR_Data or get Haplo on it. Since the Necrom exterior repairs to TR_Data, not a single change has occured to the doorjamb TR_ex_necrom_d-blah (the one used in the Old City). It caspers along the lintel. Haplo suggested using the other ones you (Aro) created, however, they are too large or too grandiose for poor peoples' houses. Plus, SO has already placed them everywhere. When I tried fixing the Necrom ints, I tried replacing them but again your newer doorjambs are too big for little houses.

Oh. How about scallig them down or something? They are simple retextures of velothi stuff... Making new doorjambs is also possible, but it's far more difficult... Someone would have to take the door we are using (and import it into a modelling program) and make a MW quality doorjamb around it.

I'll see what can i do. if somebody can tell me which is the doorjamb problem and which doors are used, it would be nice. Just tell me:

- The doorjambs are: a) too big b) too grandiose for lower class but good for other purposes c) both?
- So i have to: a) change them b) make a new lc version wich can be used WITH the existent one c) both?

I'll start with other buildings.

I assume this claim is High Priority, right?

Also, make sure every Necrom dome uses the TR_ texture, and not the vanilla texture it was cloned off. People using a texture replacer will see a strange and inconsistent texturing otherwise. I can't exactly remember the texture name, some with white_adobe or something similar.

There is some software for retexturing. Ironically it is called "TR something", so don't bother yourself with fixing it manually in nifskope.
