This one was a request from Hemitheon, apparently for Kemel-Ze. A dwemer fresco/carving depicting Numidium emerging from Red Mountain.

That's a nice idea, and it looks great as usual. The problem is that Numidium never moved until Vivec handed it to the Empire and by that time, the Dwemer were long gone. The Dwemer could technically have depicted it in advance, of course, but even then the Numidium would have done slightly more than just walk around and stomp.

Hmm, maybe you should talk with Hemitheon and BC about stuff like that. I don't know much about Tamriel lore, I just drew what Hemi asked me to draw. :]

It's nice as a sort of ominous projected future- I can imagine Dwemer culture becoming entirely obsessed with the Numidium project toward the end. Rather like mushroom cloud iconography in the Cold War, but with slightly more ambiguous connotations.

This fresco will be going into a room described by Roland Nordssen in The Ruins of Kemel-Ze.

"They seemed to depict an ancient ritual of some kind, with a long line of classically-bearded Dwarven elders processing down the side walls, all seemingly bowing to the giant form of a god carved into the front wall of the chamber, which was caught in the act of stepping forth from the crater of a mountain in a cloud of smoke or steam."

Just in case anyone wants to reach me, I'll be out of town and unavailable from this Tuesday to Monday next week. I'll be spending the week in a muddy field full of tents, and in front of stages watching bands.

You've got the inner plentifulness that makes a good world creator.

As technologies evolve nowadays, mere skill becomes less and less important, instead the ability to depict things out of mind or having a good idea of what you want to do, is taking that place.

But, I don't have much of clue. I'm just a silly fan.

So you can challenge Lute on the art front and you have a sense of humour.

The work in this thread is wonderful. Good job.

Very nice drawing, I'm liking the helm design with the plume, it says Indoril to me...

I think the Redoran Master pauldrons are spikier. These look like one of the chuzei variations to me, which they are supposed to be, I assume.

Very nice work.

Myzel, I love that asymmetrical Dres Robe!, it suits perfectly. I reckon about half a dozen variations on this robe and several variations of colours as well would do wonders for the Dres area of the game :D

The Dunmer picture is very interesting as well, Is that Bonemold spear btw? Eitherway I think Im going to try model that spear, a Bonemold spear would be a nice addition. :)

I also have to say that Indoril guard is pretty epic. a few of those in significant places would look very cool.
However once again Im most Intreged by your weapon. It looks like a Glaive or Voulge (which are pole weapons with blades on the end), which I think is awesome. =O

If your curiosity:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voulge
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaive
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fauchard

A few of those in-game, (the keyword is few) could actaully be a good possiblity as well (just as long as we dont make any stupidly strong ones  ).
It's really making me contemplate the 'pole weapons' we have currently to what would could add in for new experience :)

Thanks guys. The pauldrons are chuzei indeed. I don't know if that was meant to be Indoril bonemold, but I find it fitting.

Yeah, the Indoril guard do wear chuzei bonemold, so that is appropriate.

If you ask the Nords, they had the idea first :P They did rule over Morrowind for a time, after all.

I thought the dunmers were the ones eating dog meat, building their houses from crustacean shells etc.

That reminds me of... I still want to model those frigging bugshell-slaveshacks !!

Nords copying shells.
They'd never associate themselves with something synonymous with Dark elves (or elves in general).

Dunmer are devils to them.
Sobering Nords, in the aftermath of a long night of "socialising", gather closely around the dying embers of the long hall fire to whisper stories of the blue devil and how he lurks outside the window in the darkness. Watching, waiting for his chance...

They don't discuss the latest elven architectural styles and how to emulate them. Or if one of them did they'd beat him to death with a flagon of mead...and then, well, the party's back on again! :D

Always nice with new artwork though! :)
