WG mountain terrain can be interesting if the grass type is AI. I've done this in A5 before. Point is the generic WG region, I think.

I really like TRV, but I think it's not the type of region that would be stretched over such a large area, I think that's the point Aeven wanted to clear.
I'm very much against WG as well though, so I'm fine with TRV taking up a bit more space here

Part of the point of the TRV was to break up the endless repition of WG mountains all over TR. I'd keep as much AI valley stuff as you can, even if it's not directly built around tributaries from the Thirr.

Looking at Nomad's map, (http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/download.php?id=19576) I'd actually say that most of this claim could be made AI instead of WG, transitioning towards the Othrensis-Grazelands in the east. There's no need to have yet another vast WG mountain range thrusting down the middle of the countryside.

Would there be a virtue in adding a road between Roa Dyr and Othrensis? At present you have to go all the way up to the north coast, through the bog, if you want to get to Almalexia from Almas Thirr.

That would make sense. It'd require some slight retooling of A6 though, but not too much. I looked at this when I still had it, and a single cell of A6 is all that needs changing IIRC.

Although not 100% sure, I think the mountain range is there just because we wanted to impossibleonize a road between Roa Dyr and Othrensis. Something about making the thirr river valley a dedicated transport route or something. I don't recall any road maps on this, but I wonder if TF had one or if him of Haplo recall the discussion here.

Note, the original claim map did have a road though...

Uploading a WIP. The only nearly-done bit is the island-like formation in the southwest (I know it's not really an island :P)

Got your update right here. Maybe not as much work as I could have put in, but it's definitely something.

I really don't think I can do the rest of this justice, just not finding the time to do enough modding recently. Going to upload my current file, and drop this.

I noticed the 50% GL_grass rule I wrote about at page 1 seems to have gone unnoticed after Cathartis claimed this. New claimer must create the following transition in this claim:

- GL_Grass_01 should be the main grass used for the southernmost cells of this claim.
- Orange trees more used than green ones in same area.

It will give the region a slightly "warmer" look as we approach Lake Andaram and map 6.

I'd be happy to take this again. Not entirely sure how fast this will go, as my end exams are fast approaching. Nonetheless, I should be able to make some good progress.

New WIP. Not too much since last time, but progress. I'll be busy with my exams+vacation next 4 weeks, so it'll be quite slow for a while. After that it's possible to complete this quickly.

This may not be in SE, but I still view it as rather high priority. Please update in the next week.

So much for speeding up! :O I'll offer a new file today or tomorrow some time.

Nemon, I was wondering if you have any good suggestion for foliage in the southern part of this claim? I was thinking pinkish stuff, like the willow flowers.

(Small note: it's entirely possible this won't be finished before I go to University, in which case I'll have it revoked. There's still more than a month to go on that though, so maybe everything will turn out fine! :))

OMFG it's happening again! :(

Anyway, I'll be "gone" soon for at least a number of weeks, so I'll try and get some work done today, and upload a clean WIP file.

Unless you don't mind me being even slower on this one, then I'd suggest you consider revoking it after I upload a WIP.

EDIT: Uploaded a clean WIP file. For someone who actually has the time to work on this, it probably wouldn't take too long. Consider this me asking to revoke it.
