It's coming along fine. I've got a lot of the wilderness interiors finished, and the large Indoril Councilor manor NPCed and dialouged. I'm starting to work now on Gorne, mainly planning things out at the moment.

I'll post a new file within the week.

I also need that missing interior I talked about in my last post.

I think he did PM me, sorry I never replied D:

I'd agree with deleting it.

Oh jolly good.

You might want to consider naming the file after yourself next time though!

Meris' dialogue is nice. She could be a bit less friendly though - maybe give her some subtle passive-aggressive entries for lower dispositions (as in, below 70?) in the "would you kindly leave me alone" kind of way, in addition to the ones you already implemented?

Update: Gorne has all NPCs and dialogue implemented. All wilderness interiors are finished except for one.

All I have to do now is place wilderness creatures, add some quests (I already have some plans), and boring stuff like making slaves free-able.

Is there anything I have to do to make NPCs vampires besides giving them a TR vampire script? Are there any special vampire heads I need to give them?

To create a proper vampire head, you need to create your vampire by working from the base of an existing Beth one.

Otherwise the head only lasts until they die.

I looked at it, looks great! I was wondering if there are plans for more dialogue of people about their region though. For example, those two dunmer at the docks near the southern end of the claim have nothing to tell me, let alone a generic Lan Orethan topic.

Is it a good idea for people to start writing up quest designs for this?

I've said in the Necrom thread how we could attach this area onto Sacred East, possibly. As I can see it, it seems just about as far as the other two. And if we wait for this area until Almalexia, then the Lan Orethan would be split in two for a long time, making quests possibly weird at some stage too. Also, Almalexia and Othrensis are more than enough to constitute a release on their own.

I think generic region topics are handled seperately, because they effect more than one NPC claim. I could have sworn I gave those two Dunmer at the docks unique dialogue.

I'm already working on a quest plan for Bosmora and I do have a plan for one other quest involving the OM ruin already ironed out. However I could use a questplan for Gorne

As far as including this with Sacred East... I don't know. I'd like to do the quests for this claim by myself but I don't have a lot of time at the moment and we seem to be really close to a release...

Of course, I don't want my personal preferences being the sole reason to hold it back. 8)

Here's an idea for a quest concerning both Gorne and Enamor Dayn:

Treacherous Waters

The player will be able to pick up talk of a small dispute between the isle of Gorne and the town Enamor Dayn across the sea. This is only spoken of on Gorne. The main problem is concerning the travel to Gorne from Enamor Dayn.

The player gets referred to the lord of Gorne, Ranalath Sandil. He will explain how Gorne is a popular destination for young travelers of House Indoril making their tour of Morrowind. It's in part what brings income to the island. Lately though, their number has been decreasing. He's heard rumours of the hetman in Enamor Dayn having raised the fare of the ferry to the island.

Sandil asks the player to investigate the matter, and broker a deal to reduce the fare.

Upon asking the hetman of Enamor Dayn, the player will hear of the reason the fare was increased. It would seem, out of nowhere, a number of diseased Dreugh have tormented the route. (These dreugh will then appear in the water between the two places, and need to be named specifically.) Because of the increased danger and damages to the ship, he was forced to increase the fare.
The hetman tells you he can reduce the fare to what it was, if someone were to get rid of the Dreughs plaguing the waters. Once the player has done this, he should return to the hetman.

If the player does this, he receives a small reward of 50 gold from the hetman. He should then return to Lord Sandil, who will tell you he's already seen a number of new travelers arrive already. He'll thank you and offer you some kind of reward.

(I also noticed Ranalath Sandil talks about himself in the 3rd person for the topic "Someone in particular")

We are not going to include this claim in Sacred East, Aeven. Please stop trying to make it sound as if it's a possibility.

Here's an update. Mostly just minor tweaks and dialouge fixing. I haven't been able to muster the motivation needed for questing, so I might just post some plans and leave them for others to do.

Morrowind has a whole series of books involving Gorne

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Poison_Song

A seven part series (and a great read too). Maybe someone/Yeti/maybe me will think of a quest tying this into the map?

Hi Jeti, if you're thinking about wrapping this one up and leaving the quests to others that's completely fine with me - I'll go through the file to give you some last pointers tomorrow. Meanwhile, please know that because of a slight name modification, all instances of Taythionis need to be changed to Thalotheran. Thanks for all the work on this claim!

I am concluding my work on this file. To the best of my knowledge, it is ready for questwork to begin on it. I was planning on coming up with some complete quest plans but I could never formulate anything other than a basic idea for one for Bosmora:

Kiseen, a Khajiit in Bosmora is concerned about being a suspect for the recent thefts in Bosmora and want's the player to find the real culprit (Balamus Arthre, a professional thief living in the town, though another suspect can be the Wood Elf visiting the town's Temple).

This one and the quest Stryker made should be enough for Bosmora. Enamor Dayn and Gorne both need at least on quest, I would think. There should be plenty things to base quests off of the existing dialouge for these towns.

Also, I’ve fixed the following bugs listed in the error reports listed above. Everything else I never got the chance to get around to.
in_dae_rubble_05 Massulahibernanit Shrine 7451 4311 16576 "y not allowed to sleep in this int?"

Light_OM_brazier Dulandos, Catacombs 3477 6876 -326 "why illegal to sleep here?"

TR_m3_Athasor_Hlane00000000 Enamor Dayn, Tradehouse 4315 3923 15554 "needs restocking hammarz and probably some basic armor on restock too"

[EDIT:] For the file, see the next post.

Alright. Here is all I had time for today. The bugs from my posts are fixed, and the few scripts have been tidied up a bit; sorry, I couldn't do Leon's post.

I've deleted a Nedothril region leveled creature from cell (0,0) (presumably it got there by getting dragged too far in the CS) and cleaned the file with tes3cmd. Here is the protocol:

Code: Select all

d:\games\MWE>tes3cmd clean "Data Files\TR_Map_3_Detailing_A8_Yeti.esp"
