Hey can we get some info about the current state of the section & compile it here & update it as we change it?

I'd like to get maps with the following data:

-Local map of Andothren with & w/o claim# (if someone can post w/o claim# I can put claim#s on it).

-Map of the section with all settlement/non-hostile locations identified on it.

-Map of the section with all dungeon/hostile locations on it.

Thanks whoever can do that, you are awesome!

I've been having trouble getting createmaps and, for that matter, distant land to work properly, so the best I can do as far as the overall section is concerned is rough composite maps spliced together from CS screenshots. As such, it might be better if someone else were to create the updated section maps. I would be willing to fill in the locations, though; I just need a good map to work off of.
I should be able to get those maps of Andothren, though.

Edit: I'm quite confident in the accuracy of my map and the list above, though a few un-linked interiors might be missing from the list. All of the outlined buildings without a claim attached have no attached interior, going from the last merge file I uploaded.
That being said, I did notice a few missing doors, one PC Stronghold door and a few un-linked doors.

Kickass job Gnomey!

The manor i4-90 seems to be the right location for the Andothren boss, with the attached i4-91 being a nice place for a backdoor smoke filled room where the secret Hlaalu action happens.

i4-124 "The Dancing Cup" is a bit of a boring name, right?

I'd also like to have one Blades' agent in the city as a parallel to Balmora, maybe i4-117?

i4-89 seems like a nice manor for a plantation owner.

Please try to keep discussion about Andothren NPCing in the right thread. This thread for posting maps to use in the other threads & if we start talking about things here suddenly we have to follow two different threads for one conversation.

This color-code identifies all the player-relevant ints in Andothren as it stands now. Yellow are shops, orange are factions, pink are taverns.

i4-89 should be yellow. It is green because the yellows were originally green but it doesnt show up well so I changed them, but I missed i4-89.

createmaps results for ATNorth and ATSouth merges.

Copy of the claims browser for everyone without access to the real thing. You are looking for cells in one of the following sets:

Code:

 ATNorth = {(x, y) cell of map 4
            | x >= -5 AND y >= -23,
            NOT ( x >= -2 and y <= -20)}.

 ATSouth = {(x, y) cell of map 4
            | x >= -2 AND y <= -20}.


But keep in mind that there are some ext shells with no corresponding claims and the other way round, so some creativity will come in handy when merging ints.

Will these images do? I've added them as attachments because imageshack doesn't want to upload them full-sized. If someone else is able to host the images full-sized, I can remove the attachments. (Or a moderator can, of course).

I made three versions of the map: one showing non-hostile locations, one showing hostile locations and one showing all locations. Circles are placed at the rough location of doors. Their colour indicates the type of interior:

blue = ancestral tomb (2)
cyan = grotto/shipwreck (3 grotto, 1 shipwreck)
gray = OM ruin (1)
green = Velothi tower (3)
orange = Dwemer ruin (3)
purple = Daedric ruin (2)
red = cave (5)
white = non-hostile (plenty)

I went off of the claims browser arvisrend helpfully provided, but I'm not confident that my map shows all of the interiors, because I discovered a few anomalies:

4-14 i4-292 (bandit cave), i4-293 (eggmine), i4-294 (shack), i4-295 (shack) appear to be missing.
4-20 i4-257 (river grotto) missing. There is no longer a river here.
4-25 Ashlander yurt does not appear to have an associated claim.
4-26 i4-227 (cave) appears to be missing. A rowboat by a pier is in that cell, possibly where the cave used to be. Edit: i4-471 (Dwemer ruin)'s door was removed and its entrance sunk into the ground. It has some Dwemer blocks oddly perched over the entrance as a result of sinking the entrance.
4-48 Velothi tower does not appear to have an associated claim.

Thank you. This is wonderful!

And it shows us the first result, that we're lacking ints in the Armun Ashes (and in the buffer zone, whatever becomes of it). I suggested a tunnel from the Hlaalu outpost to the Ashes before; another tunnel could involve a cave on one side connected with an ancestral tomb on the other. (Of course, this will have to wait for your SouthANT rework.)

The i4-461 on your pics is i4-261, right?

Also, i4-261 describes itself as having a "second exit in the mountains to the north". Maybe this is the velothi dome or the cave entrance on 4-48 that you're looking for? Or is this too far away (besides being the wrong direction)?

EDIT: the int doesn't have any seriously long underground tunnels, though.

Ah drat. That's indeed a typo, thanks for pointing that out. I made the same mistake with the cave marked as i4-462 and the Daedric ruin marked as i4-463; I'll see about updating the maps.

It is possible, but unlikely, that the Velothi Tower has another entrance to the west. I find it more likely that the tower was added when Roth Roryn was overhauled/expanded and a claim was never created. It's also possible that it was moved there from another cell but the claim coordinates were never updated.

Better late than never, I suppose. An update on the Andothren map, with all of the interiors assigned with pretty high certainty:



Edit: the map is still based on pre-Swiftoak edits Andothren, but frankly the stuff Swiftoak patched up will probably be changed anyway, so it's not significantly less accurate.
