Just a question or two: Does this agree with Bethesda's style of dragon? Second, what type of structure would this be in? I could possibly see it in a large Cyrodiil structure, but it might be out of place elsewhere.

Wellit's from arena, by the looks of it, and doesn't look too much different from Nafalilargus anyhow, well at least of what I remember. Not sure where it would be though. Maybe in some grand imperial for or mansion.

A nice Imperial-style fresco (depicting Akatosh, Masser, Secunda, and Nirn?). Definitly worth a try. We need more imperial frescos anyway, maybe for Old Ebonheart's interiors or something.

Definately for Old Ebonheart's interiors. Such fresco's or such images made into tapestries would be a great addition to the city's interiors.

I am trying myself on a mural too, that will be used to retexture the velothi mural wall to an imperial mural, to be used in OE and other imperial sites.

Stalker, did you make that screencap yourself? And if so, could you search the arena dungeons for more such murals, please? Thanks!

No, I found this screenie on the net. If somebody will explain me how to exit the first Arena dungeon I think I could try to find more of such pictures.

It's relatively simple. Just write down the directions given to you and follow them, and you'll be fine (goblins and rats aren't that bad.)

And check the readme for answering the Warp Gate.

Maybe a bit off topic, but how do you use your items in arena, if I now that, I can kill the creatures in the first dungeon, and maybe search for more of those walls.

Sounds good to me.

I'd always be up for recreating an engraving of Akatosh as a tapestry, mural, or just redoing the engraving.

I'll start on it tonight and see what I can do with it.

I wouldn't mind doing it or something like it, but I've got a large question: Is vector art accepted as textures for the mod? If you go for lineless vector art (like I draw) it doesn't look quite so cartoony.
No, as a matter of fact I do not know what you're talking about, and frankly I find you smelly and disappointing.

I suggest you go ahead and do it, and if it looks good then chances are it will be accepted. If not, a pity.

Progress...

I've been pecking at this little by little, it still needs work though.

BTW, shouldn't this topic be moved to Furniture & Misc. Items?

This is what I've come up with so far... I'd say it's about half complete. Ignore the cheesy stone texture.

-Ignoring the stone texture- Looking good so far. Shouldn't be used too much in interiors though, that kind of makes it too common. I'd like to see such murals in very important Imperial buildings, like Old Ebonheart's castle and Darconis palace.

I don't see any reason you couldn't. I definately agree with Vegor that this should be used sparingly though.

I'll probably make a few versions, but I'm working on this stone engraving version first. Then likely a tapestry version after that. Anyway, we'll see what happens.

I give that thing my okay. As soon as the .nif is ready, the texture is finalised and it's been merged into OoT, you can use it. :)

Oh, I wish I could 3D model something like this... Well if I took the time to learn I probably could.... but no, this is just a simple texture for now unfortunately.

Anyway here's the finished embossing, the stone texturing could probably still use some work. Any suggestions, ideas, critiques?

I was thinking of making a marble version of this, but the only marble I remember in Tamriel at all is purple and white or like snowflake obsidian (both in Daggerfall... been too long since I've played Arena and it runs horrendously in DOSbox on my machin

It looks really good! I don't think something needs to be changed. And I think modelers can take time to make such simple model.

Okay here's two more finalized versions, there's not much of a diffrence between the two other than some color and tiny bit of stone texturing... but it does impact the feeling of each considerably in my opinion.

I'm still willing to use varying and more colorful types of stone and do things like guilding if people would like to see it... if I get a "fine as is" I won't worrk about it and move on to a tapestry version of this and then try to dig up other engravings, standards, flags, tapestries, ect. from TES to recreat/remaster. Probably not the most important thing I could be doing, but I'm sure all the little details will add up in the end.

Here's a guilded version for now.
I'll do one with paint detailing when I can remember his colors. When I'm all done with all of this I'll just provide a big RAR file with everything in it.

I like it, It could be decorated with gold. But then it should not be used much, only for very rich decorated places.

Yeah actually... I made it a little too orange for gold anyway.

I'll play with some other metal types. Maybe even Elven since this was first in Arena.

I don't think so, no, unless someone dished one out real quick and didn't let me know. I'd one myself, but I have no real way to convert it over and do what is necisarry to make a proper .nif since I don't have 3D Studio Max.

Continued.

I can pretty much mix and match any of the metals here... and could probably try a few other types, but I figured these would make the most sense.

The green and silver? Cool... I'll play around with some other combinations and looks and then pack it into a rar. If I can't find someone to moddle it, I'll do it myself eventually.
